Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Tire Inspector to join our fleet maintenance team. The Tire Inspector will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and diagnostics on the tires of the company’s fleet of trucks and trailers. This includes evaluating tire condition, tread depth, wear patterns, and ensuring tires meet safety standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in tire inspection, maintenance, and repair for commercial vehicles, ensuring that all tires are in optimal condition for safety and performance. The employee will report to the head of mechanic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  •    Examine tires for wear, damage, defects, and improper inflation. Look for signs of punctures, cuts, bulges, and uneven tread wear.
  •   Use specialized tools to measure tread depth and determine if tires meet safety standards.
  •   Check and adjust tire pressure to ensure it is within the recommended range.
  •  Identify wear patterns that may indicate underlying issues such as misalignment or improper balancing.
  • Document inspection results, including any defects or issues found, and provide detailed reports to the vehicle owner or relevant parties.
  •  Ensure that all inspections and recommendations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  •  Keep inspection tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure they are calibrated correctly.
  •   Communicate effectively with suppliers, explaining findings and recommendations clearly and professionally.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Certification from a recognized automotive or tire inspection program may be preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience working as an tire inspector of trucks and trailers.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Knowledge of tire types, materials, and industry standards.
  • Physical ability to lift and move tires and stand for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of wheel balance and wheel allignment.
  • Knowledge of trailer mechanic skills (bushes).

Air System Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Air System Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team at Simera Transport Limited. The Air System Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the air brake systems, air suspension systems, and related components of the company’s fleet of trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with air systems, a solid understanding of truck components, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair air systems efficiently to ensure the safety and reliability of the fleet. The employee shall report to the Head of mechanic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Enusre to repair issues with air brake systems, including compressors, air dryers, valves, brake chambers, and air lines. Perform adjustments and replacements as needed to ensure proper functionality.
  • Repair and maintain air suspension systems, including air bags boosters, valves, and compressors, to ensure smooth vehicle operation and stability.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of air systems on trucks and trailers, identifying issues such as leaks, blockages, and worn-out components.
  • Replace faulty components, such as brake chambers, air valves, compressors, and hoses, ensuring they meet manufacturer and safety standards.
  • Test air systems after repair or maintenance to ensure that all components are functioning properly, including checking air pressure, braking performance, and suspension operation.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on air brake and air suspension systems to prevent system failures and improve vehicle uptime.
  • Follow safety protocols while working with air systems and other truck components, ensuring safe handling of equipment and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work closely with other mechanics and the maintenance team to address air system issues and ensure that trucks are ready for service.

  • Certification or completion of a formal training program in air brake systems, air suspension systems, or related fields from recognized college.

Welding Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Welding Mechanic to join our transportation company’s fleet maintenance team. The Welding Mechanic will be responsible for performing welding repairs, fabrications, and maintenance on trucks, trailers, and other transportation equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition. The ideal candidate will have experience working with vehicles, mechanical systems, and welding techniques to address structural and mechanical issues in a fast-paced environment. The employee shall report to the Head of Mechanics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding repairs on truck frames, trailers, and other transportation equipment, handle repairs to metal components, including chassis, exhaust systems, fuel tanks, and body panels.
  • Ensure to repair damaged to vehicle frames and bodies, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct welding tasks related to the upkeep of truck and trailer bodies, including patching, reinforcing, and replacing metal parts to ensure safe and reliable transportation.
  • Perform inspections of welded joints and structures to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards. Test welds for strength and durability.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and structural issues on trucks, trailers, and related equipment, using welding techniques to provide effective solutions.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines when using welding equipment, including wearing protective gear (welding helmets, gloves, etc.), and working in a safe and controlled environment.
  • Work closely with other mechanics, drivers, and maintenance staff to coordinate repairs and ensure fleet readiness

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Completion of a certified welding program or apprenticeship from recognized college ( NIT , VETA).
  • At least 3 years of experience in welding, with a focus on vehicle repairs (preferably trucks, trailers, or other transportation equipment).
  • Experience in welding for transportation equipment or automotive repair is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of truck maintenance and repair, including frame and structural work, exhaust systems, and body panels.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.

VEHICLE INSPECTOR MECHANIC

This includes evaluating mechanical, electrical, and safety systems to ensure the vehicles meet regulatory standards and operate at optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial truck inspections, mechanical troubleshooting, and repair. The employee reports to head of mechanic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Perform detailed inspections of trucks and trailers, including checking all mechanical, electrical, and safety systems (brakes, engines, tires, suspension, lights, etc.), and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure that all inspected vehicles comply with regulatory standards, including DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed on vehicles. Document any issues found and provide recommendations for repairs or replacements.
  • Ensure that safety systems such as air brakes, lights, steering, tires, and other critical components are fully functional and meet the necessary safety standards.
  • Identify vehicles that require routine maintenance and schedule necessary repairs or replacements to prevent breakdowns.
  • Work with the maintenance team to prioritize vehicle repairs and maintenance based on inspection results.
  • Ensure all vehicles are inspected and repaired to the highest standards, maintaining fleet reliability and safety.
  • Ensure to have knowledge of mechanical engenieering
  • Ensure to have a driving experience with trucks
