Job Title: Accounts Clerk
Department: Accounts
Reports To: HOD – Accounts and Finance

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain records of CSR expenses, Funeral Fund, and Annual Leave ledgers of employees.
  2. Handle Petty Cash at the plant (PCVF) with proper reconciliation.
  3. Check advance and loan balances pending for employees as per HR email for full and final preparation.
  4. File VAT Return as per the new TRA portal system.
  5. Perform WCF, SDL, Withholding Tax return filing and calculations.
  6. Prepare salary data for monthly disbursement.
  7. Follow up on advances paid through petty cash related to factory expenditure for settlement.
  8. Book invoices in ERP for transporters, reconcile with stores-booked GRNs for monthly provision booking.
  9. Perform any other tasks assigned on a daily basis in the absence of other employees.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting/CPA Inter or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience in independent cash handling, expense recording, and maintaining daybooks.
  2. Knowledge of monthly and yearly book closures.
  3. Expertise in Excel reporting and account reconciliation, including advanced functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, common formulas).
  4. Bank reconciliation knowledge for both current and OD accounts.
  5. Ability to work under pressure.
