Job Description: Customs Clearance Coordinator

Join us as a Customs Clearance Coordinator and be part of a team dedicated to seamless international operations.

Position: Customs Clearance Coordinator

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in import/export operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Operations, Logistics Management, Customs Compliance, or related fields.
  • Experience preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Must be a registered member of the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee the importation of goods and materials, including scheduling shipments and managing logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely clearance of goods and delivery to the destination.
  • Monitor shipment status and track inventory to ensure on-time delivery and minimize disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, tariffs, and import/export laws.
  • Assess potential risks related to import operations and implement strategies to mitigate disruptions and financial liabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms with vendors to optimize costs and improve service levels while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Core Competencies:
  • In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, import/export laws, and trade compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in import/export software, customs brokerage systems, and logistics management tools.
