The Executive Director of Rorya District Council, based on the Employment Permit with Ref. No. GA.9/210/01/91 dated August 22, 2024, from the Regional Administrative Secretary (RAS) MARA, invites job applications from Tanzanian citizens for various positions. The available positions and requirements are as follows:

1. Position: Data Clerk (27 Positions)

Responsible for ensuring data systems at the facility’s CTC (Care and Treatment Center) are well updated, including daily data uploading into CTC analytics, CTC 3 (MACRO 3), and CQI matrix indicators. The Data Clerk will also manage the database and provide technical support under the guidance of the District Data Coordinator and the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure CTC2 cards and HTC registers are correctly filled and updated. Enter patient information and laboratory results into the CTC2 database promptly. Assist in generating patient appointment lists and manage the rotation of files.

Maintain confidentiality by securing data storage. Perform daily data backup and ensure timely submission to NACP CTC3 database. Participate in data reviews and meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Certificate or diploma in Computer Studies or related fields; higher qualifications are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Minimum one year of experience in data entry.
  • Strong typing, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.

2. Position: ART Clinician (7 Positions)

Provide clinical care to HIV-positive patients at the CTC, including managing opportunistic infections, ART initiation, and monitoring.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage HIV patients’ clinical care, including ART initiation and monitoring.
  • Provide consultations, ensure proper documentation, and coordinate with other health services.
  • Support differentiated services for eligible clients.
  • Participate in clinic meetings and assist in strategic planning.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine.
  • At least one year of experience in HIV/AIDS care and treatment services.
  • Excellent communication skills in Swahili and English.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

3. Position: ART Nurse (13 Positions)

Provide ART-related nursing care, including counseling, record-keeping, and supporting ART dispensing.

Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct adherence counseling and maintain client records. Provide health education and support disclosure and nutrition assessment Assist in ART dispensing and report ART side effects.

Requirements:

  • Certificate in Nursing and Midwifery with a valid license to practice.
  • At least one year of experience in HIV/AIDS care and treatment.
  • Excellent communication skills in Swahili and English.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.

4. Position: Laboratory Technologist (3 Positions)

Strengthen the laboratory quality management system, provide technical support, and improve HIV/TB diagnosis and viral load monitoring.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory tests for TB, CD4, HIV Viral Load, DBS, and Biochemistry.
  • Manage sample processing, data entry, and transportation.
  • Monitor laboratory performance indicators and ensure quality control.

Requirements: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science with a valid license to practice. At least one year of hands-on experience. Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and MS Office. High confidentiality in handling test results.

5. Position: Laboratory Assistant (2 Positions)

Support laboratory activities to enhance HIV/TB diagnosis and viral load monitoring.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory testing and sample processing.
  • Ensure data entry accuracy and timely transportation of samples.
  • Monitor laboratory performance and manage inventory.

Requirements: Certificate or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science with a valid license to practice. At least one year of hands-on experience. Proficiency in MS Office and electronic laboratory management systems.

6. Position: Pharmaceutical Technician (1 Position)

Manage the storage and dispensing of pharmaceuticals and ensure compliance with regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a clean and safe storage area. Project and order drug supplies, maintain records, and monitor prescriptions. Provide adherence counseling and ensure uninterrupted drug supply.

Requirements: Diploma in Pharmacy with a valid license to practice. At least one year of experience in the field. Excellent communication skills in Swahili and English. Proficiency in MS Office.

7. Position: HIV Counsellor Tester (4 Positions)

Provide HIV counseling and testing services following national guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize and conduct facility and community-focused HIV testing.
  • Ensure proper documentation and report on testing services.
  • Support ART management at the CTC.

Requirements:

  • Certificate in Nursing and Midwifery; certified non-lab testers have an added advantage.
  • At least one year of experience in HIV/AIDS care and treatment.
  • Excellent communication skills in Swahili and English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

General Requirements:

  • Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 to 45 years.
  • Complete personal information (CV), National ID, recent passport photo, valid phone number, email address, and three referees.
  • Attach all relevant education and professional certificates. “Testimonial”, “Provisional Results”, and “Statement of results” will not be accepted.
  • Certificates obtained abroad must be verified by relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, NACTE).
  • Retired public servants must have permission from the Chief Secretary to apply.
  • Providing false information will lead to disqualification.
