Business Development Manager for Corporate Training Programs at WASSHA

Job Purpose

In charge of the development and execution the new business dedicated to elevating business skills through structured corporate training programs.

  • Training Content Development: Design and prepare comprehensive training modules tailored to enhance business acumen and skills.
  • Training Delivery: Oversee and conduct training sessions, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for participants.
  • Participant Recruitment: Develop strategies to attract and enroll suitable candidates for various training programs.
  • Program Management: Administer the day-to-day operations of the training programs, including participant management and resource allocation.
  • Follow-Up: Implement follow-up strategies to evaluate the effectiveness of the training, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptation of training content.
  • Sales and Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to design and implement effective sales strategies to promote training programs.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify training needs and opportunities for new program development.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, industry experts, and training participants.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for training programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.

  1. Minimum Requirements

 

A). A minimum of professional and academic qualifications required to perform effectively in the role:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred but not mandatory.

B). Minimum level of experience required to perform effectively in the role:

C). Proven experience in project management, preferably in a training or educational setting.

D). Strong organizational and leadership skills.

E). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

F). Ability to design and implement effective training programs and sales strategies.

G). Adept at managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

H). Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies is a plus.

I). Experience in corporate training and development is highly desirable.

J). Proficiency in using training and project management softwares.

Business Development & Project Manager at

JOB PURPOSE

  • To develop new biz team / try many new ideas.
  • This person will be in charge of Initiation, research, problem solving, performance management of these ideas as leader.
  • Creating new businesses to realise WASSHA’s vision and fulfil its mission
  • Creating new values, or solving problems for our agents and/or end users by leveraging our current business assets, such as kiosk network, regional coverage of marketing team & SCM team, Well-disciplined call centre team, and trusted relationships with end users.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the formulation and execution of budgets for specific projects, including following activities;
  • Design and conduct potential customer interviews and create reports on the results.
  • Industry research (researching global trends and technology trends in the industries being considered for new business, including those outside Africa)
  • Business model design (analysis of customer pain, WASSHA’s value proposition and monetisation model) – giver proposals
  • Planning, execution and budget analysis for a “Proof of Concept” project
  • Negotiations with partners, accounting firms, Law firms and governments
  • Assisting CEO in defining, recruiting, training and evaluating the human resources requirements for the implementation of the project
  • Coordination of resources with WASSHA teams around the world.
  • Customer engagement
  • Always focus on the customer’s pain and do your best to implement and expand its essential solutions
  • Functional
  • Able to use basic knowledge and frameworks of new business development to examine projects

 

  1. REQUIREMENT

a). Manager with strong figure, business sense, field sense.

b). Proven track record of success in managing complex operations and driving business performance.

c). Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Sociology, Development Studies, Agriculture, Computer Science, Data Science

d). Professional qualifications in agriculture, fisheries, small business development or management consulting are desirable but not mandatory.

A). Managerial Responsibilities

  • Manage back-office operations, including analytics, systems, and accounting for new business initiatives.
  • Connect and manage spreadsheets, prepare comprehensive reports, and perform data analysis.
  • Detect, analyse and prevent fraud.
  • Process procurement requests efficiently.

 

B). Functional responsibilities

  • Knowledge on microfinance, finance, strategy or corporate planning are desirable but not mandatory
