NEC Time Table For Voters Registration 2024/2025
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the postponement of the exercise to improve the Permanent Register of Voters until July 20, 2024 instead of July 1, 2024 that was previously planned. Speaking to journalists in Kigoma region today on July 22, 2024, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Hon. Judge (Appeal) Jacobs Mwambegele has said that the launch of the exercise will be held on Saturday 20 July, 2024 in Kigoma region where the official guest is expected to be the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa (MB). Hon.

Mwambegele has explained that the decision of the Commission is based on the consideration of the views of the stakeholders that they gave during the meetings held in Dar es Salaam City and Kigoma Region.

“The commission has taken into account the opinions and advice of stakeholders. Thus, the exercise to improve the Permanent Register of Voters will start on July 20 to 26, 2024 instead of July 01 to 07, 2024, in Kigoma region and the launch will take place on the same day of July 20 , 2024 in Kigoma region where the Chief Guest will be the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Mr. Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa (Mb),” he said.
