We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our inventory processes to ensure efficient operations within our manufacturing facility. The role involves working closely with various departments to maintain accurate inventory records and implement best practices for inventory control.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available for production and sales by updating inventory management systems and databases
- Will be expected to help improve and implement process design and production flow.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to verify accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
- To do Data analysis to improve inventory turnover.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast inventory needs and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- To help in improving production efficiency by preparing and analyzing inventory reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to manage lead times and delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards in inventory management.
- Train and supervise staff involved in inventory activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering related field is an advantage
- Certification in inventory management is advantageous
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support production demands.

Responsibilities and Duties

The company is located in Mafinga, Tanzania and the project post is for a full-time position on site.
1. To Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate workplace hazards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide HSE training to employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring awareness of safety procedures and protocols.
- Maintain records of HSE inspections, incidents, and training activities.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
- Monitor environmental performance and implement measures to minimize environmental impact.
- Stay updated on relevant HSE regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety training (e.g., IFAT, NOSCH) is advantageous.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing Industry.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and assess risks.
- Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
