The Independent National Electoral Commission will launch an exercise to improve the Permanent Register of Voters on July 1, 2024 in Kigoma region and the official guest is expected to be the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa (MB). Speaking to journalists in Unguja, Zanzibar, today on May 15, 2024, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Judge (Appeal) Jacobs Mwambegele said that when the exercise is completed, the Permanent Register of Voters is expected to have 34,746,638 voters.
