Job Description
Accountability: Business Sales Management
- Work branch leadership to coordinate direct sales team and freelancers to achieve sales plans.
- Design and implement training to sales teams to offer knowledge and skill which will help sales team to perform effectively.
- Prepare monthly management reports for all sales activities including cost management
- Review and analyze daily and weekly sales reports from each zonal sales manager and third-party companies who will be assisting branches to do sales.
- Make regular visits to branches and new areas to ensure effective implementation of Retail banking sales strategy.
- Enables business development partner, relationship managers to improve revenue growth by providing support and tools to effectively prioritize and organize client calling activities, thus increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
- Coordinate and track sales budget and report for management reviews. This includes weekly session to discuss business performance.
- Report, on a quarterly basis, the status of the retail sales performance and its implication on the stage of achievement of the business strategy.
- Evaluate overall effectiveness of sales activities through direct participation in weekly retail meetings, Portfolio Analysis Meetings, and sales planning sessions.
- Ensure there is a budgetary control process in each sales activity
- Review customer satisfaction surveys to identify product issues, create action plans and implement changes to address such issues.
- Manage the quality of portfolio and ensure the productivity is high.
Accountability: Business Reviews
- Review Business trend across the market and make recommendations to progress which are prioritized using data.
- Initiate new sales strategy or ideas at concept development stage for specified sales execution.
- Hold sales Workshops to develop activation strategy and business case to support sales acquisition for all products. This also includes preparation of workshop output, Risk and infrastructure plan, detailed, complete financial model for product
- Provide information on competitors, local pricing, and local market potential
- Analyze new products performance and recommend appropriate actions to ensure projected targets as per the approved business case is achieved.
- Analyze existing products performance to ensure that there are in conformance with the set objectives and profitability.
Accountability: Governance and Control
- Actively participate in the monthly business review meeting and address issues identified through appropriate action plans.
- Manage the business continuity management plan for the sales. Ensure that bi-annual tests take place and that any failures are reported.
- Review notices for submission to local government, regulators, and customers prior to their distribution.
- Liaise with the branch leadership on any major processing issues directly linked with sales.
- Manage quality of sales portfolio

Education and Experience Required
- 5+ years of experience in sales management.
- University degree in marketing/ business administration or related areas.
- Effective communicator and presenter.
- A team player, able to work well in multicultural environments.
- Able to build relationships quickly.
Essential
- A detailed understanding of product offerings in the wider financial services industry.
- A detailed knowledge of NBC strategy and policies
- Detailed knowledge of consumer buying behavior, marketing techniques and evolving trends
- An understanding of customer segmentation theory and practice.
