2. Competencies
1. Professional competencies
- A Bachelor or Masters Degree in Social and Human studies, or Development Studies, or Energy and Environment, or Project Management, or Social Sciences, or Education.
- Minimum 3 years of experience from a senior level project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery or development context
- Experience working at the different levels of a project development. Assessments through project design and implementation complex and volatile contexts
- Experience in working with and facilitating assessment teams
- Experience with working with the Government bodies at various levels and soliciting approvals, permits and buy ins
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili both written and verbal
Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
- Knowledge of the context in Tanzania especially Ruvuma and Mtwara regions is an advantage
- Knowledge of the local language (Swahili) is an advantage
- Experience with start-up of operations
