Every year, the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) schedules the CSEE during the first week of November.

Eligibility for the CSEE Examination
Eligible candidates for the CSEE are those who have successfully completed four years of secondary education in both government and non-government registered schools. This includes students who have passed the form two secondary education examination or Qualifying Test. Additionally, those repeating the examination can register as private candidates.
MATOKEO YA MTIHANI WA KIDATO CHA NNE(CSEE) 2023 NA MTIHANI WA MAARIFA (QT) Examined Subjects/Courses
The core subjects for the CSEE encompass Civics, History, Geography, Kiswahili, English Language, Biology, and Basic Mathematics. However, candidates have the option to take up two additional subjects from various categories such as natural sciences, business, home economics, technical subjects, among others. It’s worth noting that no student can register for more than ten subjects in one sitting for the CSEE.
