We are looking for a fleet manager for our vehicle fleet in Zanzibar. If you have a fleet management decree and more than 10 years experience, preferably in Africa and want to work on an Island, you might be the right person

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- Experience as an auto mechanic
- Experience in creating and establishing fleet policies and procedures, from vehicle assignment to replacement cycling, from personal use to accident reporting
- Experience in price, spec, and purchase or lease vehicles
- Understanding and track total cost of ownership (TCO)
- Developing strategies for fuel efficiency
- Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.
- Developing strategies for greater fuel efficiency.
- Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.
- Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedule.
- Monitoring drivers behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service
- Analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency
- Utilizing GPS systems to monitor drivers behavior and track vehicles in case of theft
- Reporting to Managing Director & Head of Finance

QUALIFICATION
- Fleet Management decree or similar
- 10-15 years experience as Fleet Manager of a fleet with more than 100 vehicles – preferably in Africa
- Auto Mechanic decree or similar
- English – mother tongue
- other European language is advantage
- 10-15 years experience in team management of 30 members and more.
- European or American decree needed

Duties and Responsibilities:
- To initiate operational M & E to determine effectiveness of managerial controls and implementation of systems, policies and practice of the Authority;
- To evaluate operational policies;
- To review management information systems and makes relevant recommendations;
- To implement the approved annual M & E plan;
- To prepare periodical reports of the performance of the unit;
- To coordinate preparation of unit budget input;
- To develop individual performance objectives, targets and standard in consultation with their immediate superior as part of the performance agreement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- To carry out internal audit and provide advice on internal control issues including finance, procurement, human resource, assets, operations, governance audits;
- To review periodic internal audit reports in compliance with formats, guidelines and standards;
- To review internal audit charter;
- To recommend accounting systems and procedures for proper financial control;
- To review effectiveness on the implementation of systems, policies and practices of the Authority;
- To develop and execute comprehensive audit programme for the evaluation of management controls;
- To assess regulations, operational and financial policies with a view of strengthening the internal control systems to safeguard the assets and liabilities of the Authority;
