LEAD Foundation Tanzania is a purpose driven local non governmental
organization (NGO) registered with the Government of Tanzania. LEAD, a
locally-led NGO, has a proven experience working in arid and semi-arid
areas particularly in implementing landscape restoration and
climate-smart agriculture projects using nature-based solutions. LEAD

LEAD Foundation was established as a Trust in 2011 and in 2015 it was registered as an NGO due to the increase of its activities and scope. LEAD has offices in Mpwapwa where it was founded and in Dodoma – the capital city of Tanzania. It also has field offices in Singida and Arusha. LEAD Foundation envisions best principles and practices of servant leadership, sustainable environmental conservation and community development practiced across the globe. The mission is to promote best principles and practices of servant leadership, environmental restoration and community transformation through training, consultancy, research, advocacy and facilitation of community-initiated and led projects and programs, within and outside Tanzania.
