Master Of Advanced Studies In European And International Governance (Meig Programme) Offered By The University Of Geneva For The 2024/2025 Academic Year
The General public is hereby informed that Switzerland has opened the Scholarship programme for the 2024/2025 Academic year for eligible Tanzanians to undertake a Master of Advanced Studies in European and International Governance (MEIG Programme) at the University of Geneva in cooperation with the United Nations Office, Geneva. Application requirements
Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
i. Hold a Bachelor’s degree (International Relations, Political Science,
Law, or Economics) with at least upper second-class division level;
ii. Fluent in English Language; and
iii. Have good English language proficiency skills.
Scholarship coverage
This scholarship is partial. If awarded, the amount of financial aid
is calculated according to the applicant’s financial situation, as
reported in the scholarship application form. Applicants are encouraged
to provide as much information as possible, to give a complete picture
of their financial situation, as well as that of their parents and/or
spouse. Other costs are covered by the candidate.
List of documents to be submitted
An applicant must submit the following supporting documents as part of the evaluation
process:
i. Completed and signed application form;
ii. Academic certificates and transcripts with an officially certified
translation into English, or French, when they are not originally in
either English, French,German, Italian, or Spanish;
iii. Two recommendation letters (referees reports);
iv. Letter of motivation/personal statement demonstrating the
applicant’s interest in the field of Governance in English (max. 500
words);
v. An up-to-date curriculum vitae (in English) with a portrait photograph (headshot);
vi. Copy of passport or ID (personal details page);
vii. Official TOEFL, IELTS, or Cambridge scores, please make sure you
don’t upload the original test result as it is a protected PDF and we
cannot open it (print it and scan it again); and
viii. Copy of certificates or other evidence of past and present professional positions.

iii. There are three deadlines for applications to the programme which
are: 15 November, 2023; 31 December, 2023; and 15 February, 2023.
