For expansion and strengthening our surgical services, we are looking for
dynamic and committed General Surgeon to join our team.
The role
As a Specialist in General Surgery, you examine patients, obtain medical history, and perform a wide range of tests during OPD consultations and ward rounds; You assess (pre/post-) surgical requirements. You provide general and specialized surgical services and supervise the junior members of the surgical team You implement the standards of care and ensure high quality of care. You educate patients about disease prevention and detection and post-surgical care. You collaborate with colleagues to plan treatment, surgical interventions and post-surgical care.
As part of the team you perform all administrative duties required in relation to the provision of surgical services. You take part in shift work, on call duties as required. You provide training and participate in CCBRT training programme for employees.
The candidate
- MD with a Master’s Degree in General Surgery or one of the general surgical specialties from a recognized institution.
- At least 2 years’ experience in outpatient, in-patient and surgical interventions.
- Registered with the respective professional council of Tanganyika and in possession of a valid license to practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Kiswahili and English.
- Excellent patient management and interpersonal skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Computer literate.

EXPERIENCED ENGINEER for facility Management

We are looking for an Experienced Engineer experienced to create an Integrated Facility Management set up for CCBRT.
The role
In this position, you will organize strategic facility management within CCBRT, which includes strategy and policy development and implementation related to real estate planning, sustainability and environmental impact, maintenance management, architecture & design; Documenting past developments and in-depth analysis, should result in input towards the CCBRT Master site plan. On a day-to-day basis you will supervise insourced and outsourced facility maintenance services and take lead in the development of a long term maintenance programme. Adequate contract and supplier management for facility related services is done in collaboration with procurement.

- Degree or advanced Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field from a recognized
- At least 4 years working experience in a similar positon within the field of facility/estate management, construction or a site development. Working experience in hospital setting or hospitality sector is an added advantage.
- Familiar with international FM framework standards (eg NEN, ISO)
- Proven experience in policy development and contract negotiations
- Understands compliance requirements, finance and investments (OPEX/CAPEX)
- Registered with the respective professional council (where applicable)
- Computer literate
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (both English and Swahili)
- Team-worker with client focus and flexibility
- A pro-active attitude and eagerness to work

The role
As Specialist in Pediatrics & Child Health, you will provide high quality clinical paediatric care to children and newborns. You will examine patients, obtain medical history, and perform a wide range of tests during OPD consultations and ward rounds; You assess (pre/post-) surgical requirements.
You implement the standards of care and promote perinatal care. You collaborate with colleagues to plan treatment, both medical and nonmedical if need be. You participate in perinatal, natal, and post natal audits.
You will conduct on the job training programmes for newborn care in the neonatal unit/postnatal wards. Support the implementation of standard operating procedures for essential newborn care, newborn resuscitation, support implementation of kangaroo mother care and infection prevention practices
Furthermore, you will be part of the on-call team and rotate in on-call duties and therefore preparedness to work in weekends and on emergency is an important aspect of the job.
