We are looking for a dynamic person with relevant skills, experience and qualifications to join a dedicated team responsible for implementation of Project activities for People with Special Needs (PSNs) and People with Disabilities (PWDs) including older persons. Job purpose
The Data Specialist is responsible to oversee and ensure consistent data information and management to increase the level of accountability by HelpAge to persons with specific needs. The position holder is essentially a champion for data in line with HelpAge commitment to be accountable to persons with specific needs and the donors.
Person Specification
- A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Statistics or any other relevant qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years hands on relevant professional experience especially in Data Specialist
- Proficient in relevant computer applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, and Analytical tools such as SPSS, NVIVO)
- Accurate keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data at the required speed
- Demonstrable interest in ageing issues
- Experience in working with refugee population is preferred.
- Understanding of protection and human rights issues concerning the refugees a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed organizational and planning skills
- Self-motivation and strong team spirit
- Good report writing skills
- Knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Facilitation and trainings skills
- Organizational and planning skills.
- Respectful and courteous.
- Able to maintain a high level of ethical standards
- Ability to train and motivate others, taking into account cultural and language differences
- Ability to communicate in both English, Kiswahili. Kirundi or French a plus

Job purpose
To provide effective financial management support to programmes by implementing HelpAge Tanzania’s Financial controls, policies through monitoring projects and programme budgets, reviewing and analysis expenditures, properly recording authorised transactions and reporting timely to both management and donors.
We are looking for a dynamic person who is familiar with Accounting and assuming responsibility for managing and ensuring the effective implementation and evaluation of financial procedures consistent with standard practices and HelpAge Tanzania financial management procedures and principles. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring due diligence and compliance to HelpAge’s own requirements, those of donors and statutory requirements of regulatory authorities in Tanzania
Person Specification
- At least Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and/or Finance.
- Preferred 2 years financial management experience. Working with INGO will be added advantage.
- Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheet and word processing programs at a highly proficient level,

- Auditing skills
- Numeracy and ability to prepare accounts and other financial reports.
- Ability to function with a high degree of integrity
- Fluency in Kiswahili and English

To Identify and support case management for Persons with Specific Needs (PSN) and older men, women and their immediate family members and ensure their engagement in the project activities to improve their protection and well-being in the camp through routine home visits, care and support.
HelpAge is seeking for a Social Worker with Gender Based violence (GBV) skills to conduct all steps of the case management process for an assigned number of GBV survivors and women and girls with specific needs at risk of GBV. Case worker may be Centre based or work as part of a mobile outreach team. Strong awareness of and experience in working with issues around gender, discrimination and the rights of vulnerable women, men and girls with disabilities will be added value as essential for this post.
Person Specification
- A bachelor’s degree or Diploma in social Works, Community Psychology, Community Development or Sociology.

- Experience of working on GBV issues.
