Job Announcement: Seeking Two Talented Chefs
Agave Restaurant, located in Ubena-Estate, Chalinze, Pwani, is currently seeking two experienced and creative chefs to join our team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about cooking and committed to delivering high-quality food to our guests.
Chef 1 – Continental International Chef:
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in western culinary and be well-versed in continental international cuisine. The candidate must have at least 2-5 years of experience working in a fine dining restaurant and a degree or diploma in culinary arts. The candidate must also have excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Chef 2 – Barbeque and Wood Pizza Chef:
We are also seeking a chef with experience in barbeque and wood pizza making. A background in shawarma making would be an added advantage. The candidate must have at least 2-5 years of experience in a similar role and a degree or diploma in culinary arts. The candidate should have strong creativity, exceptional culinary skills, and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Both positions come with a salary range of 450k – 550k Tshs and accommodation will be provided.
Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cook meals as per menu and customer requirements.
– Plan menus and create new dishes based on available ingredients.
– Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
– Manage kitchen staff and coordinate kitchen activities.
– Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean, well-maintained, and in good working order.
– Order and manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment.
Qualifications:
– Degree or Diploma in culinary arts.
– At least 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
– Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
– Creative and innovative in culinary arts.
– Must have a strong passion for cooking and exceptional attention to detail.
