HESLB: 698 students win an appeal and receive loans worth TZS 2.46 billion
The
Higher Education Student Loan Board (HESLB) has announced a list of 698
names of first year students who have successfully received loans in
the referral window following missing or receiving a small credit rating
in the last four phases.
The 698 students have been awarded loans
worth TZS 2.46 billion, bringing the total number of first-year students
up to 49,485. Detailed information on the loans for the 2019/2020
academic year will be released next week after the final analysis is
complete.

Executive Director Abdul-Razaq Badru said today (Saturday, December 7,
2019) in Dar es Salaam that more information about the rates they have
been available for their personal loan application – Student’s
Individual Permanent Account (SIPA) via https: // olas .heslb.go.tz

“We
have kept the information of these students in the system and so
everyone should be logged into their SIPA account where they will see
their information which is also sent to colleges,” said Badru.
“Tumeshaweka taarifa za hawa wanafunzi katika mfumo na hivyo kila mmoja anatakiwa aingie katika akaunti yake ya SIPA ambapo ataona taarifa zake ambazo pia zinatumwa vyuoni,” amesema Badru.
According
to Badru, HESLB has improved its systems and thus all first-year
students applying for credit can access their information from anywhere
using mobile Internet (smart phone).
