DRIVER
Main Responsibilities
- Daily check the technical conditions of the assigned vehicle (state of the tires, oil, fuel, brakes, radio equipment, spare parts, etc.), perform weekly check according to the MSF Logbook, refilling it when necessary, and keeping it clean to ensure it can be driven in perfect conditions.
- Ensure the security of passengers in the vehicle, driving carefully, observing speed limits and traffic rules in the country as well as MSF security rules in order to avoid car accidents.
- Ensure correct loading and unloading of the vehicle, in particular:
- – Submit the documents to the receiver of the goods.
- – Check the status of delivered goods.

- – Return the duly completed documents to Logistics.
- – Ensure that the goods have the necessary documents.
- Ensure that the vehicle is always in good conditions following instructions and guidelines of Logbook and carry out a hand over if another uses the vehicle.
- Ensure that all vehicle documents and the driver’s driving license are valid and in the vehicle.
- Ensure all passengers have all necessary papers in order before travelling, and ensuring non MSF staff sign disclaimers of responsibility before using the vehicle.
- Inform the line manager of any incident involving the transportation of passengers or goods.
- Know how to use all types of radios, codes, call numbers and radio alphabets by heart and communicate with base according to MSF communications policy to inform the driver position and any potential implications.
- Know and respect the security rules related to vehicle movements, specifically those related to customs, checkpoints and roadblocks. Ensure all passengers know and respect the security rules.
Essential secondary education, NIT or VETA driving Certificate and driving license.
Good knowledge of country roads and Tanzania traffic laws with good eye vision.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Essential 2 years minimum of previous driving experience preferable experience working with NGO.
- Desirable experience with specific vehicles to use (Manual Car.) Desirable knowledge of basic mechanics
Languages: English and Swahili (fluent, oral & written), French is an asset.Read Also:

Job Description
Direct Reports: Medical Doctor in charge / Medical Activity Manager
Main Responsibilities
- Implement MSF clinical protocols, tools, and hygiene standards in the management of patient´s disease conditions making sure to minimize clinical risks and to guarantee a good quality of care while also promoting and maintaining confidentiality regarding all patient cases and records according to medical ethics and MSF principles
- Applying medical knowledge, asking appropriate questions to patients and following protocols in force as well as using laboratory services at his disposal when necessary, in order to ensure a correct implementation of the medical treatments and to refer patients when appropriate.
- Liaise with the direct supervisor the management of patients in the ward and other issues at work site that are relevant to assure smooth running of medical activities
- Pro-activity and willingness to support other departments plus participation in various meetings as required aimed at improving quality of care in work environment and human resource development strategy and flexibility to changing roles and work-sites according to circumstances of need but in line with the job description.
- Recording in the individual patient’s card and registration books, all performed medical activities (drugs prescribed, lab results, vaccination status, epidemiological activity, doses, etc.) keeping data trace-ability in order to ensure patients treatment continuity.
- Participating in data collection and reporting when required.
- Knowing and implementing Patient Therapeutic Education (PTE), i.e. keeping contact with all patients, providing them information regarding their health state, assuring that they have understood and to advocate for them as needs dictate while responding to their questions and those of their caregivers.
- Knowing and promoting the proper application of Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) Kit and Sexually Gender Based Violence (SGBV) protocol.
Experience: Desirable previous clinical officer experience, or 2 years of relevant working experience.
Languages: English (fluent, oral & written). Swahili is an asset
Competences: Results, teamwork, flexibility, commitment, service.
Knowledge: Desirable – Tropical diseases / Desirable computer literacy
