Position: SENIOR SYSTEM AUDITOR
Nature and Scope:
The successful candidate will report to Director, Internal Audit. She/he will be responsible for providing an independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness and efficiency of the core banking system, internal control and risk assessment on Information Technology and Communication (ICT) systems.

Key Responsibility
  • Developing Risk assessment and annual audit plan with emphasis on IT systems and application.
  • Developing and implementing Internal auditing manual, policies, procedures and program.
  • Maintain and support IT infrastructure of the Audit Department.
  • Assist team members to ensure that the overall objectives of the audit are met.
  • Extract and analyze data from the banking core system and other bank records, including defining audit scope and tests for audit at field’s works.
  • Conduct planned audit fieldwork in specifies are of IT in relations to Credit function, Operations, Legal and report on the findings and recommendations.
  • Review accuracy and efficiency of the bank accounting system and internal controls.
  • Monitor accuracy of data in different IT systems like core banking system and all other software used by the bank.
  • Keep Director Internal Audit regularly informed of the progress of the audit and exception issues related to IT.
  • Prepare audit work paper by documenting audit test and finding and evaluating the sufficiency and appropriateness of audit evidence to support conclusion drawn.
  • Prepare the audit report after completion of audit work and submit to Director Internal Audit for review.
  • Ensure that audit reports and recommendations including those by the external auditors and BOT examiners are implemented.
  • Follow up and report on implementation of Internal, external and Bot Audit findings and recommendations
  • Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills with ability to write reports and documentation in a concise and focused style.
  • Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting. Finance, Commerce or related discipline from recognized Institution.
  • Must possess a recognized professional accountancy qualification such as CPA (T), ACCA, ACA or any other recognized accounting professional qualification.
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ working experience in a recognised audit firm and/or financial institution.
  • Possession of professional qualification of CISA will be an added advantage
  • Highest degree of integrity, excellent and well developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must be computer literate and possess programming knowledge.
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills.
Position: SENIOR INTERNAL AUDIT
Nature and Scope
The successful candidate will report to the Director, Internal Audit. She/he will be responsible for ensuring that all accounting, financial, operational and other systems are adequate in design and effective in operations, to ensure that laid down procedures of the bank are being followed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the Planning & budgeting process and schedule audit operations.
  • Participate in the preparation and updating of the internal audit charter, internal audit manual and audit policies.
  • Plan and prepare an audit program for the audit assignment to be conducted.
  • Review, appraise and report on the soundness, adequacy and application of financial and other management controls.
  • Review and appraise the laid down risk management and mitigation procedures.
  • Conduct special audits and investigations and present the report to the Director of Internal Audit.
  • Conduct Audit assignments on various operational areas of the bank and produce reports of findings.
  • Analyze data for evidence of deficiencies in control, fraud or lack of compliance with approved management policies.
  • Make follow up and ensure that recommendations made by internal, external auditors and BOT examiners are implemented.
  • Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline from a recognized University/lnstitution.
  • Master’s degree will be an added advantage.

Position: FINANCE OFFICER – FINANCIAL REPORTING AND BUDGETING
Nature and Scope
The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Financial Reporting and Budgeting. She/he will be responsible to ensure correct records are maintained in bank system, bank’s reports (both on/off balance sheet) are produced timely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generation of financial reports from the Banking system
  • Coordinate the audit of managed Funds.
  • Submission of all tax returns/levies
  • Fixed assets management including booking of the assets in the register;
  • Respond to stake holders’ request including balances confirmation.
  • Prepare and analyze banking industry performance using published BOT reports for bank’s decision making.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related discipline from a recognized University/lnstitution.
  • Possession of recognized accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, and CPA (T) is an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years relevant experience in a commercial bank/financial or related institution
  • Ability to analyze and interpret Tax and other Regulatory implications on financial statements and make recommendations.
  • Strong and well developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills.
  • Highest degree of integrity.
  • Must be computer literate.
Position: PRINCIPAL FINANCIAL ANALYST
Nature and Scope
The successful candidate will report to the Manager Funds Mobilization and Syndication and support middle office in relation to funding and Treasury Management. She/he will be responsible to undertake rigorous financial analysis on the bank’s balance sheet and markets to inform decision – making process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analysis of key financial performance ratio trends and recommend appropriate course of actions.
  • Support the analysis of risk profile and stress testing and advise on counterpart limits.
  • Undertake income sensitivity to changes in market variables including yields, interest rate, exchange rate, inflation and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Undertake analysis of liquidity risk due to maturity mismatch, funding levels and changes in the market trends.
  • Asset valuation in respect of fixed income securities and bank’s equity investments.
  • Undertake market analysis of pricing and ensure bank’s pricing is commensurate to Bank’s objective and advise appropriate measures.
  • Review, analyse and interpret management accounts for decision making.
  • Advise on appropriate timing and pricing for issuance of various funding instruments in the capital market and monitor their performance in the secondary market.
  • Monitor economic trends, capital market rules and regulations to ensure smooth implementation of bank’s funding strategies.
  • Analysis of liquidity management reports including cash flows and gap analysis.
  • Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor degree or its equivalent in Finance, Banking, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, and Accounting related discipline from a recognized Institution. Holder of Master’s degree will be added advantage.
  • A professional experience in corporate finance, A charted financial analyst (CFA), or ICMA is an advantage.
  • Minimum of six years of relevant professional experience with good working knowledge in relation to transaction structures, products, fixed income, derivatives, equity, African capital markets, financial analysis of project finance and corporate finance lending and equity investments, risk management instruments.
  • Proven excellence in written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex and technical issues in simple terms, while maintaining accuracy.
  • A strong background in investment and development banking with experience in working with private sector projects, state owned entities, utilities/infrastructure authorities and Government.
  • Drive for results, takes personal ownership and accountability to meet deadlines and achieve agreed-upon results, and has the personal organization to do so.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and financial market skills.
  • Competence with use of standard MS Office software applications, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and Treasury Systems – Summit, Reuters and Bloomberg applications and T24.

Brief Description
Reporting to Senior Securities & Documentation Manager. The Securities and Documentation Manager is responsible for management of all the corporate securities and documentation related to lending. The position holder will be primarily responsible for managing post approval of credit process and with the primary focus being business support and risk control in lending documentations for Corporate Customers of the Bank. The position holder will work closely with, External Lawyers, different registries, Credit and all business functions to ensure that the acceptable level of TAT is achieved.

Detailed Description
· Review and or vet all corporate facilities agreements after an approval from business.
· Review and or prepare corporate securities documentation for lending purposes.
· Issue quality and unambiguous instruction to External Lawyers for perfection of securities.
· Sound and command in management of law firms/external lawyers involved in perfection of securities.
· Ensure that SLAs and Charters governing post approval processes are prepared and implemented accordingly.
· Maintenance of securities data through a defined process or system. Also reliable MIS and development of various reports for sharing with business teams and Credit.
· Prepare and implement securities tracking “live” system which will be submitted on weekly basis confirming the progress and time expected for closure.
· Preparation and review of all lending documentations including but not limited to facilities agreements and securities documents.
· Provide legal opinion and advise to all departments within the Bank.
· Creating and updating diaries for insurance, land rents and valuation.
· Review of all securities and documentation on regular basis to confirm validity and enforceability.
· Liaison with external lawyers and generates reports to be shared with business teams.
· Liaison with KCB Group and other subsidiaries on all cross border facilities and international business.
