Roles and Responsibilities
Financial and Operational
• Analyses maintenance costs and provides recommendations on fleet utilization and
• Tracks fleet usage and maintains accurate inventories of
• Assists in the development of maintenance budgets by providing input relative to policies, costs, established metrics, and
• Ensures the maintenance records for all fleet and heavy equipment assets are accurate and up-to- date.
• Performs procurement processes for required
• Approves and/or processes local purchase orders and invoices
• Provides input to management for establishing appropriate Key
Performance Indicators(KPI) for the department, and is responsible for
analyzing and measuring the department’s
• Manages vendor negotiations and vendor performance to contract requirements for the Fleet
Mechanical department.
• Manages Fleet/Mechanical department day-to-day operations, assesses
risk and safety issues to ensure safe and efficient repairs to fleet and
heavy equipment
• The incumbent may be required to perform other duties as directed by
• Ensurescompliancetoallpolicies,procedures, Standard Operating Procedures(SOP),with recommendations for action and continuous improvement
Communication
• Provides leadership and effective communication to management, employees and other stakeholders.
• Communicates maintenance requirements to ensure maximum efficiency and implement corrective actions as
• Collaborates with other departments on cross-department
• Holds operational meetings with managers/driver on a routine basis and as
• Prepares regular management reports
Educational Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree degree in Fleet and Logistics Management or equivalent
Experience Requirements

• Advanced machinery and Mechanical Troubleshooting
• Proven Leadership and strategic
• Excellent negotiation, verbal and written skills (i.e. reports preparation, public speaking, and proposal preparation).

• Experienced in, Microsoft Office suite i.e. fleet management systems and engine diagnostic software.

• Troubleshooting, routine maintenance, B checks, top overhauling, and major overhauling if required.
• To repair electrical faults in generators, alternators and low voltage
• Installation and Commissioning of Generator sets at customer
• Register the complaint after getting the complaint call from
• Customer visits, and dealing with customer queries by identifying root cause of the failures and providing breakdown solutions to put the equipment back in operation and close the complaint. Prepare a service report of the closer of the complaint.
• Carrying out routine maintenance activities to the satisfaction of the
• To give the service visits, i.e. Warranty, Out of Warranty, and AMC. Preparethe service report duly signed and stamped by the
• Followup for PO from the parts customer quotation reference with thes ervice report.
