What you’ll do
Role purpose:
To plan, supervise and control deployment of all Network Programs
and Projects ensuring timely and efficient execution of such projects.
The role must ensure synergies by managing all major internal and
external stakeholders including vendors, suppliers and contractors
throughout the project lifecycle to ensure projects are delivered on
time, within approved budget limits, aligned with design & quality
specifications as well as smooth handover to the user department
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
- •Project Planning: Translate site rollout, network expansion and other technical budgetary plans into specific, realistic and executable project plans with clearly identified milestones, deliverables and timelines for all stakeholders.
- •Project Tracking: Driving, documentation and reporting the efforts and activities performed by all project stakeholders to ensure alignment with key milestones, deliverables and timelines. Entails regular supervision, audits and quality control checks at pre-identified project milestones.
- •Project Management: Apply appropriate Project Management Methodologies to scope technical projects, allocate resources, control, monitor the project lifecycle and handover technical projects with minimum possible deviation from technical specifications, financial targets and execution plan.
- •Procurement of Goods & Services: Ensure timely preparation of work scopes and placement of orders for goods & services, tracking approval of orders, delivery of goods & services, invoicing and payment for goods and services as per agreed / contractual terms and conditions
- •Property Closure: Ensure comprehensive acceptance testing, preparation of as-built documentation and transfer of CWIP to fixed Assets register Core

What you’ll do
Role purpose:
Overall accountability for Network Performance for all technologies on modernized/swapped sites.
Review Single Site Verification (SSV) reports submitted by a vendor as part of Site acceptance.
Ensure EPOCA KPIs targets are met during Cluster drives reports.
Prepare both regulatory and group Network Performance reports
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
- Develop KPI tracker for all elements in Radio Network
- Ensure best practice set of features are implemented in the network as per EWL
- Manage E2E network incidents like outages, KPIs degradation with proper RCAs
- Proactively determine the gaps from the Project team on addressing network quality and ensure consistency on reporting
- Work with engineering and operations teams on delivering the anticipated network quality
- Review Single Site Verification (SSV) reports submitted by a vendor as part of Site acceptance
- RAN parameter audit and KPI performance reconciliation
Who you are
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
- Excellent analytical and logical reasoning skills translated from Key Performance indicators
- Excellent programming skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills like TCRA, suppliers etc
- Ability to proactively detect faults
- Ability to manage customer complaints
- Able to challenge the status quo
Must have technical/professional qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience industry or functional experience
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer or its equivalent.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
- Build and maintain relationship with key stakeholders in the organization
- Cloud and big data knowledge as an added advantage
- Project knowledge and experience would be advantageous.

To dimension, plan, design, and optimize world-class,
future-proof, carrier-grade IP transport networks and services
integration to ensure efficient and reliable connectivity in line with
business objectives and customer needs.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Develop and design future-proof carrier-grade Transport network adaptable to Software defined network (SDN).
- Recommendation, formulation, and execution of transport technology strategy in line with VF-Group Technology Strategy & Architecture (TSA) and Business Objectives.
- E2E Transport Network dimensioning, deployment, optimization, capacity management & control, and RAN & Fixed network integration to ensure superior network quality and availability.
- Develop short-, mid-, and long-term transport capacity forecasts and technology evolution plans using engineering guidelines that align with Vodacom/Vodafone strategies and local business requirements.
- Create comprehensive technical design documentation for CAPEX and OPEX planning, ensuring alignment with business priorities.

- Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer systems Engineering or equivalent.
- Foundation course on ITILv3.
- CCNA, CCNP or CCIE certification or equivalent.
- Training on IP Network Planning, Design and Optimization (including SDN, SRv6, IPV6).
