Founded in 1950, Doctors with Africa CUAMM (CUAMM Tanzania) was the first non-governmental organization focused on healthcare to be recognized by the Italian government. It is now the country’s leading organization working to protect and improve the wellbeing and health of vulnerable communities in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Doctors with Africa supports 21 hospitals, 124 districts (in activities related to public health, maternal-child care, Aids, tuberculosis, malaria and training programs), 4 nursing and midwives schools (in South Sudan, Uganda and Ethiopia) and one university in Mozambique. Our mission is to advocate the universal right to health and promote the values of international solidarity, justice and peace. We work to protect and improve the wellbeing and health of vulnerable communities in Africa with a long-term development perspective.
