Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) is an executive agency under the President’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG). Established with the aim of developing, maintaining, and improving road safety, TARURA also plays a critical role in managing the environmental impacts of roads, as well as ensuring the effective operation of axle load control across district roads networks in Tanzania.

Qualifications:
- National Form IV/VI certificate.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Registered with Engineers Registration Board (ERB) as a Professional Engineer.
- Computer literate.
- Fluent in both Kiswahili and English.
- Tanzanian citizen.
- At least 3 years of experience in road development and maintenance projects.
- Age limit: Not above 45 years.

Duties:
- Assist in preparation of tender documents for procurement of works contractors.
- Conduct road inventory, condition, and traffic count surveys.
- Supervise contractors at site and force account operations.
- Attend regular site meetings and prepare minutes.
- Manage quality control of road, bridge, and construction materials.
- Prepare road and bridge maintenance plans and budgets.
- Assess emergency works and recommend appropriate interventions.
Duty Stations: Mbogwe DC, Misenyi DC, Uvinza DC, Hai DC, Serengeti DC, Chunya DC, Bariadi DC, Nkasi DC, Kishapu DC, Tunduru DC.
Qualifications:
- National Form IV/VI certificate.
- A Diploma in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related qualifications, or a Full Technician Certificate (FTC).
- Computer literate.
- Fluent in both Kiswahili and English.
- Tanzanian citizen.
- At least 3 years of work experience in the relevant field.
- Age limit: Not above 45 years.
Salary: According to TARURA Salary Scale.
Duties:
- Inspect and report on roads and bridge maintenance works.
- Participate in civil works related to road construction, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Perform minor machine maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain records of repairs and civil works.
- Supervise road and bridge maintenance works.
- Conduct road inventory and condition surveys.
- Carry out in situ and laboratory tests, and monitor results.
