Responsibilities
- Ensure safe work practices, i.e., attending compulsory safety courses and meetings use of required PPE, incident/accident reporting, and ensuring total adherence to all safety, occupational health, and Environmental Policies as well as other relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Follow all maintenance procedures and ensure the completion of mechanical activities according to standard without causing any further damage to any component /system/equipment.
- Ensure equipment isolation, adhere to working at height and confined space standards/ procedures, and conduct pre-start checks/ inspections.
- Carry out mechanical repair and preventative maintenance to maintain Plant and Mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve production and cost targets.
- Carry out troubleshooting, fault finding, and corrective maintenance to solve unplanned equipment unavailability events.
- Ensure that maintenance practices result in maximum equipment availability.
- Utilize work instructions to determine job requirements, including job sheets, quality, the number of materials/ resources, etc.
- Perform PM inspection according to the maintenance requirements and ensure preventive maintenance compliance.
- Conduct mobile and Plant equipment upgrades/modifications as required.
- Removal of machine components and replacement
- Provide accurate and timely feedback to the supervisor on conditions that may affect the functionality of the equipment.
- Ensure supervisors and all stakeholders are kept informed of equipment availability status.
- Follow up on outstanding maintenance/repairs.
- Complete shift handover process.
- Actively participate in training activities to gain new skills and develop full potential.
- Identify and diagnose issues with vehicle electrical systems.
Qualification requirements
- Ordinary level certificate – Form IV
- Auto Electrical Trade Certificate – (FTC, IMTT, and VETA)
- Valid driving license
Experience and competencies needed.
- Experience in Maintenance (underground equipment)
- 3 years of experience as an HD Auto-Electrician
- Heavy equipment mechanical knowledge required.
Skills / knowledge requirements:
- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical system.
- Using test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctions.
- Dismantling and removing electrical and electronic assemblies and components.
- Able to apply knowledge of automotive electronics, engines, and chassis.
- Install components, such as alternators, starter motors, horns, lights, and turn signals.
- Perform maintenance on batteries and charging systems.
- Inspect and test electrical connections and components.
- Replace and install electrical connectors, relays, fuses, and circuit breakers.
- Abel to Analyze and interpret technical diagrams.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct ground conditions and support installation audits to ensure compliance to ground support standards.
- Able to conduct stoping inspections.
- Design cable bolts & perform standard ground support designs.
- Assist in underground infrastructure inspections.
- Facilitate Ground Control training to Inductees.
- Record stock levels for ground support.
- Produce daily & weekly stope and development heading inspection reports.
- Conduct Geotechnical core logging.
- Prepare stope note assessments.
- Prepare stope closure notes.
- Conduct geotechnical mapping.
- Installation of monitoring instrumentation.
- Conduct QA/QC of all installed ground support in the underground workings.
- Conduct QA/QC of paste fill/shotcrete samples
Qualification requirements:
- Diploma in Mining Engineering, Civil, Geology or equivalent
- Must Have Valid Driving License
Skills / knowledge requirements:
- Proficiency in mine design software, Mine CAD, Deswik, Surpac
- Good Communication skills
- Ability to interpret mine layouts
- Able to maintain accurate records and reports
- Knowledge of underground mapping and core logging techniques
Experience and competencies needed:
- Minimum 2 years working on underground mining as Geotechnical Technician.

Reporting to: Senior Geological Technician
Duration: Permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow all documented Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures, and ensure safe working environment; every person going home safe and healthy every day.
- Ensure Ore drive backsight, face marking and sampling are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure underground truck operators acknowledge to Dispatcher the correct underground stockpile dumping location of each truck load all the time to avoid ore loss/dilution.
- Ensure the drill core samples are collected in accordance with the SOP including recording of all required information and routine quality assurance and quality control practices good sample dispatch and reconciliation.
- Ensure samples are taken / prepared to the highest standard prior to dispatch for analysis (avoid contamination, mixing and missing samples).
- Ensure the timely delivery of accurate geological data, knowledge, reports, and documents, including underground daily and weekly reports.
- Contribute to the appropriate business outcomes by ensuring the timely delivery of accurate geological data, good sample quality’ Good core recovery (reporting all irregularities to the management) Proper data entry and filing system.
- Maintain equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
- Deliver timely peer and management feedback.
- Performing tasks under minimal supervision and monitoring.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by the Geology Senior Technician and/or Mine Geologists as it may be required.
- Being honest, respectively, transparent and act with integrity.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma in Geology from the recognized Institution or equivalent
- Valid Tanzanian driving license and ability to drive manual gear vehicles (Mandatory).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 3- 5 Years experiences working in mining industry, of which two (2) years have been working in underground environment.
- Must have 2-3 years of driving experience with no accident records (manual gear vehicle Driving) and be willing to undergo a driving test to demonstrate your skills.
