Area Sales Supervisor at EA Foods
Essential Functions
- Supervise the activities of the sales team including marketing activities like product and account activations.
- Assist the Branch/Sales manager to recruit, training, enumerating, and retaining a competent sales team.
- Provide reports to top management like sales reports, lead generation reports, customer complaints reports, and new customers’ on-boarded reports.

- Assist the Branch/Sales manager to ensure adequate client communication, maintain
contacts with clients and provide feedback. - Initiate sales activities, strategies, and sales plans required to build brand visibility.
- Serve as a point of reference to employees in terms of showing great work ethic, habits, personal character, and professional character.
- Responsible for the investigation and control of non-compliance to company standards and policies.
- Continually training new and existing sales representatives, assigning specific tasks to other sales representatives and monitoring the sales team performance.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of competition status.
- Ensure all sales representative routes assigned have up to date route plans.
- Conduct a regular ‘Work Withs’ in the market on route per sales representative on a weekly basis.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of prospects, leads, pricing, sales activities, and active clients.
- Controlling company marketing expenses to ensure the marketing expenditure is kept within budget.
- Attend trade shows and other marketing events and represent the organization.
- Evaluate the performance of the sales team and seek ways to improve the team’s performance.
- Identify the trends in the market, both current, and future that are likely to affect the performance of the organization.
- Ensure the items are displayed correctly in the malls, supermarkets, and other sales points.
Qualifications
Minimum of five years of sales and/or marketing experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree from a well accredited university.
- A driving License/certificate.
- Minimum of three years of experience in supervising a team.
- Successful previous experience as a sales representative or supervisor, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Strong computer and technical skills with specific experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Leadership skills.
- Managerial skills; supervising a team of 10 to 30 people.
- Analytical skills.
