Vacancy: Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Technician (3 Positions)
Role Purpose Statement: The role is designed to undertake a structured training program combining class training and on-the-job training for Base/Line/workshop work. The goal is to gain the required skills and knowledge to support the operational requirements of an approved maintenance organization and airline operator.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Complete a structured four-year apprentice training program, including both theoretical and on-the-job training (OJT), and acquire TCAA licenses.
- Observe, learn, and understand a wide range of engineering skills and processes under the guidance of skilled technical staff.
- Demonstrate increasing proficiency by working independently or as part of a team, undertaking tasks and contributing to the department.
- Learn to read and interpret maintenance manuals or other technical data to determine the feasibility and methods for performing assigned tasks.
- Learn to inspect aircraft structures and airframe systems and components (e.g., mechanical flight control, hydraulic, and fuel systems) using visual inspection techniques and precision measuring equipment.
- Learn to replace or repair damaged or worn aircraft structural or dynamic components using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and structural repair equipment.
- Learn to perform removal, assembly, and replacement of aircraft components or system parts.
- Document all inspection findings, work performed, and corrective actions in the maintenance records to meet established standards.
- Maintain work areas and tools in a clean, organized manner, practicing proper tool and FOD control.
- Understand and apply the importance of health and safety within the workspace, adhering to established safety practices and using personal protective equipment.
- Monitor and support continuous improvement activities, using Lean and continuous improvement tools to identify and eliminate waste, improve quality and safety, reduce lead time, and minimize costs.
- Assist mechanics with mechanical duties on various aircraft models, including diagnosing malfunctions, disassembly, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of systems.
- Maintain a logbook throughout the apprenticeship, recording tasks completed and skills learned.
- Ensure good housekeeping of the workplace and related areas, maintaining a smart appearance and professional conduct at all times.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Diploma or higher in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Safety-conscious with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks without compromising quality.
- Strong team player, proactive, accountable, and transparent.
- Experience in aircraft maintenance is a plus.
