Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all types of maintenance work are carried out safely, always preceded by a risk assessment.
- Plan and allocate daily maintenance tasks to employees and ensure all necessary resources are provided.
- Ensure timely adherence to all recommended maintenance and lubrication schedules.
- Manage the workforce on a day-to-day basis to execute both planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance tasks.
- Inspect equipment during both operation and stopped conditions to identify abnormalities before they lead to breakdowns.
- Respond to breakdowns as they occur, ensuring sufficient resources are utilized to restart equipment in the shortest time possible.
- Plan for spares and sub-assemblies to ensure timely availability, and monitor stock levels. Initiate procurement in consultation with the HOD for timely replenishment.
- Contribute to all major shutdown activities from the preparatory phase.
- Ensure that all tasks are logged and completed through the ODOO ERP system.
- Participate actively in skill development activities such as On-the-Job Training (OJT).
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
