Tanzania – Tanzania: Our client is looking for a Quality Control Manager – Ripening Specialist to join the team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Experience: 5-7 years of similar or related work experience, specifically in fruit Quality Assurance (with a focus on bananas).
Travel: Willingness to travel internationally as required.
Retail Experience: Preferred experience in retail settings.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to use logical or scientific thinking to solve complex problems involving several abstract and concrete variables.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of working effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fruit Quality Inspection: Inspect the quality of bananas and other fruits during loading and unloading of containers, ensuring only the highest quality produce is accepted.
Onsite Inspections: Perform inspections onsite during loading of containers, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Freshness Monitoring: Continuously monitor merchandise on hand to maintain freshness and quality.
Ripening Control: Oversee and control the ripening process for bananas, fruits, and vegetables, ensuring optimal ripeness.
Inbound Product Inspection: Inspect inbound perishable products for quality and compliance with standards.
Report Preparation: Prepare comprehensive reports on soft fruit, bananas, and aged inventory, providing detailed insights and recommendations.
Collaboration: Work closely with receivers and selectors to ensure the quality of merchandise is maintained throughout the supply chain.
Work Schedule Adherence: Maintain a consistent work schedule and fulfil the expected number of working hours.
