Qualifications And Experiences
This is a senior administrative position.
The applicant must be an associate professor or above, and a PhD holder from a recognized University with not less than five years of proven resource management and administrative experience, preferably gained from a higher learning institution and publication points which on assessment produce at least 9 points.
Duties
- To be the chief advisor/principal assistant to the Vice-Chancellor in respect of all matters pertaining to planning finance and administration.
- To prepare and supervise the implementation of the University’s strategic plan.
- To efficiently manage human and physical resources by applying approved policy regulations and procedures of the University.
- To act as the link-pins between academic, administrative and technical staff.
- To exercise strategic leadership in resource mobilization and income generation activities within Tanzania and outside.
- To perform such other functions as are conferred upon him/ her by the Universities Act, University’s Charter, and other acts or as may be prescribed by the University’s Vice-Chancellor.
Other Attributes
Be a person with strategic thinking with leadership capability skills/integrity and team player for achieving vision, mission and objective of the University.
Leadership skills with proven experience in resource management in a similar level or as Dean, Director, Principal or Head of Department/ Unit.
Remarkable experience in income generation, and resource mobilization activities from within and outside Tanzania).
Proven knowledge of Government Financial systems
Demonstratable knowledge and experience in Institutional building and governance.
Networking skills.
SENIOR LECTURER (2 POSITIONS)
Qualifications
Holders of Ph.D. and a GPA of 3.5 (Upper Second class) or above at Bachelor degree and 4.0 or above for Master degree majoring in Accounting, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Biblical Theology, or related fields.
At least 5 years of working experience in Higher Learning Institutions
Publications that on assessment produce 3 points Teaching language proficiency
Duties
Mentoring junior staff in all relevant areas; Designing and developing curricula;
Managing institutional projects and activities; Writing teaching manuals and compendia and books.
Developing new courses and programmes; and Undertaking any other duties that may be assigned by a relevant authority

ASSISTANT LECTURERS (2 POSITIONS)
Qualifications
Holders of a Master of Accounting, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field with a minimum GPA of 4.0 and 3.5 respectively.
Teaching language proficiency Graduates are highly encouraged to apply Working experiences in Higher Learning Institutions is an added advantage
Duties
Undergoing training to PhD level Undergoing induction course in pedagogical skills for those who had none before Conducting lectures, tutorials, seminars, and practicals for undergraduate programmes – Assisting senior staff in practical sessions, seminars, and tutorials Preparing case studies
Working in cooperation with senior members on specific projects
Supervising special projects for undergraduate students
Mentoring junior staff in all relevant academic matters
Participating in curriculum development Participating in developing and managing various university projects
Undertaking research and publishing research results
Preparing teaching manuals and compendia Attending/organizing workshops, conferences and seminars
