About the Unit
YARA Tanzania is duly registered company under the Laws of Tanzania as a subsidiary of Fertilizers Holdings AS with headquarters in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The aim is developing a market concept that increase the number of farmers using fertilizer including better knowledge in plant nutrition, improved distribution and logistics. One of Yara investments in the country includes the construction of a 40 KT bulk terminal near Dar es Salaam Port which handles importation of bulk fertilizer, packaging and sale in Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

Responsibilities
Weighbridge Officer is a position based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It is responsible for efficient operations of the plant weighbridge and other transport activities in Yara Tanzania.
- Manage weighbridge operations by weighing trucks and other vehicles during entry and exit to ensure that correct quantities are dispatched from the plant.
- Ensure accurate documentation of weighbridge data and verification of delivery note vs weighbridge ticket.
- Deliver all necessary documentation to Customer Service, Security and/or Finance.
- Prepare daily reports; inventory stock report, dispatched trucks report and daily transporters tracking report.
- Support Supply Chain Manager in ensuring suppliers such as transporters conduct themselves in line with
- Yara’s safety standards and other Company requirements.
- Adhere to Yara safety standards and 5S principles in execution of duties.
Profile
- University degree in Materials Management or related field.
- At least 2 years work experience in a warehouse or factory environment.
- Fluent in English & Swahili languages.
Additional Information
- Competent in Microsoft office applications; word and excel.
- Energetic with a can-do attitude.
- Attentive to details.

Responsibilities
Dispatch Specialist is a position based in Dar es Salaam responsible for all aspects of terminal product logistics and safety.
- Manage all logistics related to product dispatch including its security through internal sales processes.
- Ensure adherence to Yara Safety guidelines and 5S in execution of duties for self and team.
- Maintain accurate weight and number of bags loaded per truck/wagon.
- Manage healthy work relations with outsourced workers assigned in the dispatch process including duties of loading truck/wagons.
- Build and maintain collaborative work relations with all stakeholders within the Dispatch function such drivers and loading supervisors.
- Lead, motivate and encourage Dispatch team to ensure high productivity and morale.
Profile
- University degree in Materials Management or related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in material handling supply chain environment.
- Fluent in English and Swahili languages.
Additional Information
- Competent in Microsoft office applications; word, excel, PowerPoint.
- Minimum 3 years work experience from a global Company with high adherence to global safety standards in Operations.
