Hello and welcome to Dangote Cement! We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing mines operations, ensuring that established targets are achieved.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Plan, manage, co-ordinate, and direct mining operations and maintenance of machinery.

- Evaluate efficiency of mining sites to determine adequacy of personnel, equipment and technologies used, and make changes to work schedule or equipment when necessary.

- Oversee the technical mining aspects of the operations including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling and provide expertise as required.

- Identify performance optimization opportunities to enhance bottom line financial benefits.

- Monitor mining operational performance against budget and ensure that production quotas and procedures are met.

- Prepare mining production reports

- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Senior
Requirements
Key Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Engineering, Mining, or related discipline.

- Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated operating experience in mining operations and maintenance practices.·
- In-depth knowledge of mining operations, production, maintenance, process control and health and safety management.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Commitment to implemented safety and environment regulations
- Good data gathering and analysis skills.
- Baseline problem analysis and solving skills.
- Creativity and an ability to think out of the box

Cost Accountant at Dangote Cement
Description
- Preparing the transport finance reports including presentations for Exco
- Transport cost controls (including third parties)
- Reviewing and reconciling retention charges, Mileage bills and ensure proper accruals are made
- Working closely with Transport department to analyse and reasoning costs/expenses and transport KPIs.
- Matching waybills (for materials) and GRN, weekly.
- Reviewing and custodians of all transport account codes in the system. Ensuring proper allocation of costs among transport GLs.
- GIT analysis
- Custodian of transport budget and comparing actual vs budget monthly. Variances should be proper explained with facts.
- Assist on reconciliation of transport vendors.
- Perform any other tasks as given by the Financial controller or CFO
Requirements

- Qualified candidate with CPA/ACCA
- SAP Knowledge is an added advantage

Fixed Asset Accountant at Dangote
Responsibilities
- Purchased assets under AUC external are capitalized not later than 30 days from the date of receiving the asset (GRN date) with creation of temporary asset number.
- Run monthly depreciation 1 day after every month end.
- Monthly fixed assets reconciliations vs GL and PPE movement prepared and reviewed by the Financial Controller by the 5th day of the following month.
- Creation of asset numbers as er 2024 budget and proper filing
- Fixed assets tagging and unload in SAP to fixed assets register by 31st January 2024
- Month reconciliations with all related parties including Dancom and Dangote Global prepared, reviewed and confirmed not later that the 5th day of the following month.
- Ensure all debit notes for related party transactions are posted in the month received/issued.
- Zero long outstanding reconciling items under related parties’ balances
- Accuracy of posting payments in SAP 100% posting
- Minimal errors in posting payments in SAP – Not more than 5 errors per quarter.
- Staff retirements/claims should be processed within 5 days from the day of receiving docum
- Ensure no staff with unretired advance is given a new advance and all staffs with overdue advances are communicated to HR for recoveries from salaries.

- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus.
