Geita The Geita Regional Governor’s Office in collaboration with the
ICAP organization has been implementing interventions to combat HIV/AIDS
and Tuberculosis in all Geita Regional Councils.
Recommended:
The Office of the Regional Commissioner of Geita welcomes
applications for temporary work (One Year Contract) from Tanzanians with
qualifications, abilities and skills in health professions. Employees
will be assigned to work in the existing Health Care Centers in Geita
Councils and the Regional Referral Hospital. The positions announced are
as follows:

- Awareness and education on the presence of HIV Testing Services
(HTS) that is to educate clients on all aspects of HIV diseases and
treatment management as well as basic health life.
- Serve as a liaison between clinicians/clinics, test subjects and care facilities.
- Provide counseling and testing while respecting patient
confidentiality and rights, provide psychological support and assist in
referrals and relationships.

- Evaluate and document all referrals, follow up and report on referral outcomes.
- monitor the quality (QA/QC) of test equipment for material/control samples from the laboratory department.
- Ensure safe storage of HIV Testing related items and request/prepare all consumables required for HIV Testing services.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
- Must have Education and Certificate of Fourth Form (IV) and
graduates of Diploma/Diploma/Degree in the Field of
Nursing/Doctor/Laboratory.
- Must have an active service license (valid practice license), an applicant with training and a WU testing certificate will be given priority
- Having at least one year of working experience in the Medical and Care Centers in Geita Region.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and Kiswahili.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team with limited

RESPONSIBILITIES.

- Providing advice and health education to clients related to HIV
infection testing, proper adherence to continuous services of
anti-infection drugs as well as integrated treatment and care services
in the center and the community served by the respective center.

- Provide advice and health education to family members and caregivers regarding methods to control new WIJ infections.
- To ensure that customers who attend care services get the best
services according to their choices and expectations in accordance with
the rules and procedures of the Ministry of Health.
- Keeping complete and accurate information and records for all services provided to customers.

- Provide information on the performance and implementation of
integrated services of 95-95-95 according to the indicators of infection
control services.
- To perform all other duties that will be directed by the manager of
the center according to the skills and knowledge of the employee.
- Giving the dates of Clinic attendance of clients
- Participate in HVL sampling.
- Lead monitoring and ensure good treatment adherence by supervising community level Service providers, ECS etc
