The Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) is a
Constituent College of the University of Dar es Salaam established in
2005.The main functions of the College as stipulated in the Dar es
Salaam University College of Education Charter and the Rules of 2010 are
to provide integrated teaching, research and public service.

Successful candidate shall be engaged in one – year renewable contract terms to the following vacant posts:-

Holder of Form IV Certificate who has completed 1year pre-nursing or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions
Nursing Section
(i) To clean medical equipment, ward and environment;
(ii) To assist patient bathing;
(iii) To assist feeding of patients;
(iv) To collect and ferry used bed sheet to laundry;
(v) To send patients samples to laboratory and collect results;
(vi) To prepare necessary equipment for wound dressing;
(vii) To collect patients ’medicine from pharmacy/store; and
(viii) To perform any other related duty as may be assigned by one’s
reporting officer.
Laboratory Section
(i) To perform general laboratory cleanliness;
(ii) To receive and keep laboratory samples; and
(iii) To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the
reporting officer.

A holder of form IV certificate plus Trade Test Grade II in Electronics or related fields from recognized Institutions.
Area of specialization
Installation and Maintenance/Repair of Public Addressing System Duties and Responsibilities
(i) To perform routine specified tasks that demand higher technical skills under supervision; (ii) To keep the work place tidy; (iii) To collect and take care of working tools; (iv) To carry out minor repairs and maintenance; (v) To report maintenance problems to senior staff; and (vi) To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Salary Scale: PGSS 2
