MEDIA OFFICER-DAR ES SALAAM
Position Summary:
Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a Media officer to join Tembo Nickel Project Team. This role is based at Dar es salaam office. The media officer will be responsible for the delivery of Tembo Nickel media engagement strategy. The successful candidate for this role will report to the Communications & Corporate Affairs Manager.

Principal Accountability
- Oversee the Companies External Communications regarding mainstream media (TV, Radio and Newspapers), alternative media (brochures, fliers, posters etc., and folk media such as the use of traditional songs and theatre and digital media management.
- Work with the technical teams to identify areas of external communication support and develop an implementation plan.
- Work closely with the rest of the Communications team and CR team to amplify messages to media stakeholders and through different media channels.
- Guide and supervise the development of content including creative work by external partners, o Participate in strategizing with the Communications team innovative and creative ways of documenting and disseminating knowledge.
- Work closely with the rest of the communications team to coordinate media trainings to staff, o Participate in identifying potential strategic local, national, and global media partners, develop and implement strategies to work with local, national and global media, o Oversee the Planning and management of external events and campaigns, o Monitoring and Evaluation of External Communication performance and budget evaluation.
- Work with technical teams to review and edit content for external stakeholders drafted by internal stakeholders and to ensure messaging is consistent with internal strategy and tone, o Ensure strategic Company media visibility is achieved, managed, and monitored.

Key Competencies and Required Skills
- BA. degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field,
- Not less than 6 years of working experience in the respective field,
- Outstanding journalistic and creative writing skills o Leadership skills
- Ability to translate complex business information into engaging content.
- Requires advanced writing skills: ability to write, edit and proofread documents into clear and concise knowledge communication materials in English and Swahili languages, o Skills in multimedia production.
- Experience providing communication support to multiple departments/teams.
- Be of Swahili mother tongue with outstanding communication skills both written and oral in English and Swahili,
- Swahili to English and English to Swahili translation experience

Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a Digital Media officer to join Tembo Nickel Project Team. This role is based at Dar es salaam office. The digital media officer will be responsible for the delivery of Tembo Nickel digital media strategy. The successful candidate for this role will report to the Communications & Corporate Affairs Manager.
- Advise on the Digital media strategy, develop an implementation plan and execute the implementation,
- Improving company visibility and managing public knowledge using digital media channels and digital news channels,
- Oversee Digital Media Management and media monitoring.
- Oversee the establishment and Management of digital Media platforms including website,
- Developing concepts of digital media communications and campaigns and implementation,
- Scheduling placement of content on digital media platforms.
- Creating content and oversee the creation of content for digital media platforms according to platform guidelines,
- Advise on digital media guidelines.
- Manage search engine optimization and media monitoring queries,
- Ensuring brand consistency across all digital media channels,
- Developing, Drafting, and editing digital communications copy and materials,
- Advise on new digital media trends applicable to corporate entities,
- Monitor the performance of service providers.
- Establish and maintain a strong effective network and working relationships with digital news media platforms,
- Managing website content publication and updates.

Qualifications/Experience required.
- BA. degree in public relations, mass communication or related studies,
- Not less than 4 years’ experience in communications field.
- Good track record of experience in the field of digital media communication and knowledge management, o Experience in strategic Communication for projects of similar nature,
- Capable of working independently with strong prioritizing.
- Knowledge of website design management, website content management and social media management,
- Experience with web analytic tools.
- Experience providing communication support to multiple departments/teams.
- Be of Swahili mother tongue with outstanding communication skills both written and oral in English and Swahili,

COMMUNICATIONS LEAD-KABANGA
Position Summary:
Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a Communications Lead to join Tembo Nickel Project Team. This role is based at Kabanga site. The Communications Lead will be responsible for the internal and External Communications. The successful candidate for this role will report to the Communications & Corporate Affairs Manager and Site General Manager. The successful candidate will be on 6/3 Roster.
Principal Accountability
- Participate in drafting Communication strategy, planning, budgeting, and ensuring its implementation, o Support technical teams in matters requiring external community stakeholder communication support including identifying and advising on areas of strategic communications, field communications related campaigns, documentation, and branding.
- Work closely with the Communications and Corporate Affairs team to ensure implementation of communication plan and adherence of company guidelines and standards.
- Work closely with the Communications and Corporate Affairs team and Community Relations team to amplify messages to key stakeholders within the community.
- Develop and sustain relationship with the local media and key corporate stakeholders in Kagera including Company’s content amplification allies.
- Supervise the documentation and story telling of company’s activities as per plans and strategies,
- Planning and executing communication campaigns.
- Writing, Editing and proofreading multiformat content including message copywriting,
- Support the Digital Media officer and Media Officer to oversee the design and delivery of creative operations.
