Position title: Sales Executive

Reporting to: General Manager and/or Business Development Manager

Duty station: Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge, Tanzania

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced person who can assist in making sure that all guests consistently receive the best service, with sound knowledge of the highest level of Sales & Marketing in a luxury environment, overall knowledge in the day-to-day management of the business, Sound knowledge of Sales and Marketing, knowledge of company products and services, knowledge of customer care and customer service, knowledge of social media marketing and presence, sound knowledge of promotional sales.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Takes responsibility for achieving the on-property budgeted sales targets
  • Takes care of all guests when staying or visiting our outlets
  • Assists with the marketing and promotion of ACL
  • Attends major functions and events at ACL
  • Ensures accurate and timely reporting on areas of responsibility
  • Meets project and task deadlines set by the General Manager
  • Drives sales for voucher lunches, retail, activities, events and promotions and all outlets at ACL
  • Identifies new business opportunities
  • Finds prospective clients
  • Promotes and sells products and services to all clients visiting ACL
  • Maintains relationships with the supply chain both formal and informal
  • Identifies product improvements from feedback by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Utilizes the daily sales reports to manage targets and budget achievement
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.
  • Assist in the daily management of the retail outlet at ACL.
  • Assists in the daily management of the retail outlets at other Elewana properties.
  • Ensures that the displays are well organized and attractive.
  • Ensure that all outlets in Tanzania are well stocked.
  • Order stock in time to ensure no shortages.
  • Identify fast moving and high-profit items.
  • Visit other Elewana outlets in Tanzania as required.

  • Assist with the creation of the annual Sales & Marketing strategy plan.
  • Carry out strategic marketing activities
  • Review monthly marketing data and make suggestions/carry out tasks
  • Build and develop relationships with new and existing clients (office visits, on-site interactions, regular emails)
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with our sister brands Cheli & Peacock Safaris,
  • Sky Safaris, Shanga, Sopa Lodges and key heads of departments. i.e Reservations, Front Office, Food and Beverage, Kitchen and Housekeeping.

  • Oversee events and product promotions.
  • Research the viability of local and international trade and community fairs
  • Do anything else within the broad area of Customer Service, Sales & Marketing as required.
  • Carry out any other tasks as directed by a Manager

Experience & Education:

  • Minimum qualification Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the sales and marketing position with a track record of training and managing teams.
  • Proven experience as a sales Executive or relevant role
  • Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in achieving financial targets and increasing revenue.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously..
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Position title: Head Barman

Reporting to: Food and Beverage Manager

Duty station: Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge, Tanzania

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Barman to oversee our Bar operations and ensure that our team of Waiters and Waitresses are trained to the highest standards. Should also ensure the smooth running of the bar, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the bar operations and maintaining the highest quality of Bar services.

Key Responsibilities:

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Perform all tasks accurately and correctly according to the Food and Beverage Manual.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly bar reports accurately.
  • Strictly follow the company’s and property’s financial procedures.
  • Follow up on out of stock beverages and guest supplies.
  • Ensure all mise-en-place procedures and checklists are strictly adhered to
  • Ensure stock rotation procedures, FIFO and write-offs procedures are strictly adhered to
  • Actively participate in monthly service stock takes and ensure bars are correctly equipped for all seasons
  • Ensure Weekly Beverage Financial Targets are met
  • Ensure beverage COS is achieved weekly
  • Ensure all training is correctly documented and that all barman are at least 80% proficient
  • Ensure accurate records are kept of all guest feedback, preferences and generic daily issue
  • Ensure effective systems of identifying Elewana Guests and well looked after in all our bars

General

  • Training new employees on company procedures and policies
  • Serving as a liaison between the manager and other staff members
  • Creating new alcoholic beverages or updating existing recipes based on customer requests
  • Overseeing the inventory of liquor in the bar, ordering new supplies when necessary, and organizing storage space for bottles
  • Managing all bar operations including staff scheduling, inventory, ordering supplies, and creating drink specials
  • Ensuring that customers receive prompt attention from wait staff and bartenders
  • Maintaining cleanliness of bar area and equipment to ensure sanitary conditions for patrons
  • Determining when to stop serving alcohol to patrons who have had too much to drink
  • Preparing drink orders for patrons, including mixing beverages and serving them to customers
  • Ensuring that bars cleaning schedules are strictly adhered to
  • Ensuring adequate mise-en-place before every shift
  • Ensuring Quality controls are strictly adhered to
  • Ensuring 100% availability of all our stocks listed on our beverage list

Experience & Education:

  • Minimum qualifications Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field.
  • At least 3- 5 years of experience as a Head Barman with a track record of training and managing teams.
  • Broad-based Food and Beverage Hospitality experience.
  • Tertiary qualification in bartending or Food and Beverage related.

Position summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Spa Therapist to oversee our Spa operations and ensure that our team of Therapists are trained to the highest standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving financial targets, maintaining the highest quality of Spa products, and ensuring that all TZ camps are stocked up with approved Spa products only. Additionally, they will actively participate in continuous product improvement by researching and implementing bespoke treatments that are East African inspired.

Key Responsibilities:

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Oversee and manage the Spa operations, ensuring that all services are provided to the highest standards and in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Train and develop our team of therapists, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide our guests with exceptional spa experiences.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, implementing strategies to achieve financial targets and increase revenue.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure that the highest quality of Spa products is maintained and that all TZ camps are stocked up with approved Spa products only.
  • Actively participate in continuous product improvement by researching and implementing bespoke treatments that are East African inspired.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on Spa operations, financial performance, and product inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, interacting with guests to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns they may have.

Experience & Education:

  • Diploma or Certificates in Spa Therapy or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Spa Therapist with a track record of training and managing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Spa products, including a good understanding of ingredients, benefits, and usage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in achieving financial targets and increasing revenue.
  • Must be proficient in all international massages, facials, pedicures, and manicures.
  • Experience in personal training and Yoga is an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
