INTRODUCTION
Mbeya Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (Mbeya UWSA), being one of the Water Supply and Sanitation Authorities, is an autonomous legal entity established on 1st July 1998 as per the Water Works Act as amended by Act No. 8 of 1997 and as repealed and replaced by the Water Supply and Sanitation Act No. 5 of 2019. The law entrusts Mbeya UWSA to supply potable water and provide sanitation services to the residents of Mbeya City and Mbalizi Town at reasonable prices and agreed quality in accordance with the service standards and guidelines provided by the Ministry of Water (MoW) and the Energy and Water Regulatory Authority (EWURA).

Qualification
Holder of Master’s Degree in one of the following fields: Economics, Planning, Statistics, Policy Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Planning and Management or any other related qualifications from recognized Institutions with working experience of at least thirteen (13) years in the related field. Master’s Degree must be related to Bachelor Degree.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To coordinate preparation of Authority’s strategies, plans and budgets and monitor their implementations and impacts and advise accordingly
- To prepare and circulates periodic fact sheets on monitoring and evaluation and provide information of general and specific interest to the Authority
- To mobilize financial resources
- To examine and review monitoring and evaluation reports
- To provide technical guidance to subordinates
- To oversee M&E work to ensure that work programs are executed efficiently
- To conduct open performance review and appraisal of subordinates and give them feedback
- To interpret and implements M& E policies
- To review M&E papers to ensure adequate audit coverage
- To develop individual performance objectives, targets and standards in consultation with the immediate superior as part of performance agreement
- To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
Salary Scale
MBWSSA 8 (As per Mbeya UWSA Salary Scale)
