End-line Evaluation of the Girls’ Retention and Transition Initiative.

HakiElimu (Kiswahili for 'Right to Education') is a registered Non-Governmental Organization, established in 2001 by 13 Tanzanian Founding Members.

Our history is rooted in the ambition of the founder members – “ citizens, if actively involved in education governance, can make a difference in the education sector”.

The Community Governance programme of HakiElimu, a Tanzanian non-profit work and systematically record observations individually and with each other. HakiElimu works with pupils, teachers, parents, school committee members,  They will also systematically record observations and lessons.

HakiElimu conducts critical research, policy analysis, and advocacy and collaborates with a diverse set of partners and networks to advance common interests and social justice in Tanzania.
HakiElimu was founded in 2001 by a group of 13 Tanzanians who had formed a clear and longstanding commitment to transform public education for all children, having noted that education in Tanzania was in a mess, and that the many attempts to reform it had appeared to go nowhere.
