Mhagama made the statement, on April 12, 2022 in Dodoma talking about issuing employment permits to public servants in the country.
She said out of the 32,604 jobs, priority sectors were education 12,035, 10,285 health and 2,392 other sectors.

She said of the 12,035 vacancies in the education sector, 9,800 were for primary and secondary school teachers, with the process being overseen by TAMISEMI, while 2,235 were for lecturers at universities, higher education and college trainers. located under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, where the process will be overseen by the relevant institutions in collaboration with the Secretariat for Employment in the Public Service.

Other sectors
Mhagama also outlined the 2,392 vacancies expected to be filled in other priority sectors as 814 agricultural cadres, 700 livestock cadres, 204 fishing cadres, 261 water cadres and 513 law cadres.
He said the recruitment process would be overseen by the relevant ministries as well as the Secretariat for Employment in the Public Service.
The Minister explained that there are 7,792 vacancies for staff of other cadres in ministries, independent departments, Government Agencies, Local Government Authorities and other public institutions.
