1. POST: HOUSEKEEPER (2)

Position Summary:

Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit Housekeepers to join Tembo Nickel Project Team.

This is a Fixed Term contract of 1 Year and the successful candidate will report to the Camp

Manager

Duty Station: Tembo Nickel Project Site-Ngara
Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the cleanness, orderliness and appearance of Camp rooms and Offices
Ensure that rooms are made as per Tembo Nickel standards
 
Maintain par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies and Linen
Implement Housekeeping standard operating procedure
Attending and resolving guests’ complaints with regards to quality of rooms and ensure that they are reported to Camp Manager and ad-dressed on time
Ensure compliance to all hygiene issues.

Qualifications and Experience

 Ordinary level certificate – Form IV
Excellent Customer Services Skills
2 Years housekeeping experience in reputable organization
Excellent communication in English and Swahili, both writing and verbal

2. POST: COOKS (2)

Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit Cooks to join Tembo Nickel Project Team.

This is a Fixed Term contract of 1 Year and the successful candidate will report to the Camp

Manager

Duty Station: Tembo Nickel

Position Summary:

Project Site-Ngara

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for preparation of meals for Tembo Nickel Project Team
Ensure that meals are prepared as per Tembo Nickel standards
Prepare the Menu and ensure it is approved by the Camp Manager
Inspect food delivery to ensure standard and quality
Check Stocks regular to ensure that expired food is not prepared or consumed by Tembo Nickel project Team
Monitor food stocks and recommend restocking quantities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Day to day care and maintenance of gardens include insert as applicable e.g. orchard,herbaceous borders, cut flower border, vegetable garden with raised beds, fruit trees, fruit cages, rose garden,
To provide knowledge input and advice relating to all aspects of the garden including pruning staking feeding and spraying.
Undertake regular watering duties as and when required
Regularly inspect any garden structures and undertaking minor repairs or advising line manager
General garden carpentry such as assembling and maintaining furniture, replacing handles and similar hardware. General minor painting & decorating to maintain garden appearance.

Position Summary:

This is a Fixed Term contract of 1 Year and the successful candidate will report to the Camp Manager

Duty Station: Tembo Nickel Project Site-Ngara

Duties and Responsibilities

To provide day to day carpentry services to the project Site Infrastructures including office buildings and camps
Safe execution of carpentry works including repairs, and Installation of new and replacement of equipment for the camp
Prepare maintenance and repair report on weekly basis to ensure that the camp is in good condition with no faults on carpentry related works
Work with maintenance and Camp management Team to fix all carpentry work for safe and comfortability of the camp
Learn understand and follow Tembo Nickel health and Safety Policy
Check camp carpentry faults and ensure they are fixed on time
Regular inspection of all facilities to ensure carpentry work is in order
Manage carpentry installations for various project buildings
Perform ad hoc maintenance works relating to carpentry

Qualifications and Experience

Full Technician Certificate in carpentry/ Trade Test Grade I in

5. POST: PLUMBER (1)
Position Summary:

Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a Plumber to join Tembo Nickel Proj-ect Team.

This is a Fixed Term contract of 1 Year and the successful candidate will report to the Camp Manager

Duty Station: Tembo Nickel Project Site-Ngara

Duties and Responsibilities

To provide day to day mechanical maintenance services to the Mine Site Infrastructures including fire pumps, submersible pumps, sewage pumps, site infrastructure mechanical equipment’s,
Safe execution of mechanical fittings works including PM Services, Maintenance,
Repairs, Breakdowns, and Installation of new and replace-ment equipment for the camp
Prepare maintenance and repair report on weekly basis to ensure that the camp is in good condition
Work with maintenance and Camp management Team to fix all plumbing work for safe and comfortability of the camp

Check Water pipelines leakage and ensure they are fixed on time

6. POST: DRIVER (1)

Position Summary:

Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a Driver to join Tembo Nickel Project Team.

This is a Fixed Term contract of 1 Year and the successful candidate will report to the Camp Manager

Duty Station: Tembo Nickel Project Site-Ngara

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide safe transport of all Tembo Nickel employees as well as all official passengers travelling in company vehicles.
Employee’s transportation to ensure smooth operation during shift change and in line with outside shunting busses operating hours per route
Observing all traffic rules, regulations and /or procedures relat-ing to driving onsite and outside mine site during day and nighttime.
Avoid all situation that might place the vehicle or passengers at risk
Maintenance of the company vehicle as per site applicable regula-tions and directive
Ensure safety practice is observed and reporting any hazard or risk behavior within working area
Plan all trips properly and ensure all the necessary equipment is on board for each trip
Properly inspect/check the vehicle and complete all proper docu-mentation before vehicle is used per site applicable procedures/ regulations
Report any fault to responsible maintenance team.
Maintain a log of all trips, events, and fuel consumption
Picking all delivery of goods as per schedule and directives
Ensure overall condition of vehicle is at 100% working
Do not undertake unnecessary trips or operate the vehicle without specific adherence to authorized permit
Be always punctual.

Qualifications and Experience

Ordinary level certificate – Form IV and VETA Driving Certificate
NIT Driving course will be an added advantage
Valid Tanzanian driving license Class C

7. POST: OHS MANAGER (1)

Coordination and effec-tive implementation of Occupational health and safety programs across Tembo Nickel Operations.

Duty Station: Tembo Nickel Project site- Ngara

Duties and Responsibilities

Implement internal Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) manage-ment systems to ensure compliance to both OHS Act and the Fire & Rescue Force Act.
Coordinate mandatory fire and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) inspections and instituting remedial actions based on the in-spection finding.
Liaise with Occupational Safety and Health Authority (OSHA) to en-sure occupational health and safety mandatory trainings are con-ducted.
Provide operational support for all Tembo Nickel operations in Tan-zania
Ensure contractors and other business partners comply with OSHA regulatory requirements as they carry out their responsibilities on behalf of Tembo Nickel

8. POST: ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER (1)

OFFICER (1)

Position Summary:

Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit Community Relations (CR) Reset-tlement Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E Officer) to join Tembo Nickel Project Team. The CR and Resettlement M&E Officer will provide assurance that the execution of all CR and resettlement related activi-ties are compliant with Tembo Nickel values and social impact manage-ment commitments, the regulations of the Government of Tanzania, and international standards and principles (IFC PS 5). This is a Fixed Term contract of 1 Year and the successful candidate will report to the CR Team Lead and Resettlement Team Lead Duty Station: Tembo Nickel Project Site – Ngara

Duties and Responsibilities

The M&E Officer will work with technical support and direction from the Consultant and Resettlement Project Lead.
Establish a Participatory Resettlement Monitoring and Evaluation System for all CR and resettlement related The CR and Resettlement M&E 
System should continuously assess whether CR and RAP commitments are being met in a timely and consistent manner (compliance monitoring); and are sustainably maintaining and improving the quality of life of Project Affected People (effec-tiveness monitoring).
Develop participatory project management tools for use by all reset-tlement projects staff and related departments.

Duty Station: Tembo Nickel Project Site – Ngara

Duties and Responsibilities

The Vulnerable Support Officer will work with technical support and direction from the Livelihood Specialist and Resettlement Project
Support the Livelihood Specialist and Resettlement Project Lead to develop a Vulnerable Support Plan.
Provide specialized and local cultural, societal relations, and com-munity health care knowledge to inform the planning of the Vulner-able Support Plan and all activities within the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP)
Lead the collection of qualitative and quantitative social and com-munity health related data
Develop participatory tools and processes to identify vulnerable individuals in the community
Lead the engagement with local community members and relevant Government authorities to ensure an inclusive approach to vulnera-ble Programme design
Ensure that all resettlement project staff have access to and knowl-edge of vulnerable persons and communities
Coordinate with all resettlement projects staff to identify information needs around vulnerability and develop vulnerability data collection activities as required

She/he will have full responsibility for the assigned activities and be one of the primary interfaces with the identified local stakeholders. S/he will maintain regular communications with local government officials and other strategic partners at Village. Ward and Division level.

This is a Fixed Term contract of 1 Year and the successful candidate will report to the CR Team Lead

Duty Station: Tembo Nickel Project Site- Ngara

Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as liaison between TN and identified local stakeholders. Par-ticipate in local stakeholder engagement activities and ensure that any inquiries or complaints from local stakeholders are dealt with promptly and sensitively
Facilitate the Project’s development activities through appropriate stakeholder engagement and feedback
Assist with key studies and research with a social aspect e.g. Envi-ronmental & Social Impact Assessment and Health Impact Assess-ment
Provide updates of assigned tasks on important achievements/con- strains encountered in a weekly basis
Facilitate key Project work streams that have a community interface g. resettlement and exploration/surface drilling
Assist Human Resources and Supply Chain to ensure that the Proj-ect identifies and leverages local content opportunities (e.g.. local employment/training and local procurement)
Assist other Project departments (e.g. Security and Health. Safety & Environment) to identify and plan mitigation strategies for key social impacts
Attend daily department morning briefing session and all planned department meetings
Write and submit all relevant reports (e.g. stakeholder engagement report, weekly report etc) to the Community Relations Lead for re-view and submission.
Participate on development of department plans, monitoring and evaluation of department activities
Jointly with Community Relations team, undertake monitoring, inter-nal evaluation and documentation of all work done by CR Depart-ment
Undertake other duties as reasonably assigned by Community Rela-tions
In the absence of CRL the Senior Community Relations Officer will act as Community Relations Lead.

Qualifications and Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in social science or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the same or related role
