Position: Trainee Dump Truck Operator

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Selected candidates will first go through a practical training and assessment program before they are considered for a role as a Dump Truck Operator, subject to qualifying as a competent operator. A Dump Truck Operator’s role is responsible for operating a dump truck for the purpose of mining operations, performing preventative and general inspection on equipment, delivering work to plan and ensuring safety processes and practices are followed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum certificate of Secondary School Education (CSEE)
- A valid Tanzania Driver’s license class B & D or higher
EXPERIENCE:
- Be physically and mentally fit to operate heavy mining equipment (Dump Truck).
- Selected candidates must be able to pass a ‘Dover test’ before they are appointed as trainees.
- The appointment is also subject to a thorough medical check-up by an authorized medical practitioner.
MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Adhere to all training instructions from qualified equipment trainers and supervisors.
- Take reasonable care to protect his or her health and safety, and that of other persons who may be affected by any act or omission thereof during the performance of duty.
- Be proactive in all aspects of operational safety and work as a team member within the mining department.
- Perform safety pre-start checks on equipment.
- Report faults in equipment timeously to supervisor or dispatch.
- Comply with standard Operating Procedures and Working Practices.
- Haul materials to ore stockpiles and waste dumps.
- Minimize spotting, maneuverings, dumping, and refueling times.
- Work collaterally with Excavator operator to ensure trucks are loaded at optimal capacity.
- Demonstrate competency in operating modular according to standards.
- Respond to dispatch requests timeously.
- Always adhere to lawful production instructions.

Position: Tradesperson 1 – Plumber

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To provide day to day mechanical maintenance services to the Mine Site Infrastructures including fire pumps, submersible pumps, sewage pumps, site infrastructure mechanical equipment’s, pipe fittings, HDPE Pipe Welding (But Fusion and Electrofusion), water pumps, borehole pumps,
The role will also involve safe execution of mechanical fittings works including PM Services, Maintenance, Repairs, Breakdowns, and Installation of new and replacement equipment on non-process plant-related infrastructures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Full Technician Certificate in Plumbing / Trade Test Grade I in Plumbing.
EXPERIENCE:
At least 2 – 3 years working experience as a Plumber preferably in Mining Industry, Petrochemical Industry or Brewery Industry.

- Check water pipelines and leakages in pumps
- Inspect and check to bear and replace when needed
- Ensure that the sprinkler system is working effectively

- Perform scheduled inspections on pumps and mine site infrastructure systems
