POSITION DESCRIPTION:
North Mara Gold Mine Limited is seeking to recruit one Mechanical Trainer to join the Fixed Plant Maintenance team. The successful candidates for this position will carry out assigned mechanical tasks within the guidelines of Company Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practice as well as other assigned tasks within the range of competencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Title: Instrumentation Technician - Compressor
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
North Mara Gold Mine Limited is seeking to recruit one (01) to join North Mara team. The successful candidate for this position will provide support to North Mara plant engineering team and outside the plant when required to perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on air compressors, dryers, gas generators and ancillary equipment and should be conducted in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations, schedule and scope. A main responsibility of this role is to troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on malfunctioning compressors, determine possible causes for malfunctions, and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment. Prior to and following preventative maintenance and repairs, you are responsible to test and document the proper operating parameters
Reporting to: First Line Leader – Plant Engineering
Contract Duration: Permanent.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure team member in the plant adhere to safety regulations and use the correct PPE.
- Report all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) issues via an incident report.
- Perform task risk assessments (JHA, FLRA).
- Ensure the plant operates within acceptable limits and deviations are reported.
- Adhere to isolation and lock out permits procedures.
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances.
- Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on all brands of air compressors both oil flooded and oil free, refrigerated or desiccant air dryers and related equipment. Preventative maintenance should be conducted in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations (with regards to schedule and scope).
- Troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment, determine possible causes for malfunctions, and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment. Prior to and following preventative maintenance and repairs, test and document the proper operating parameters of the equipment.
- Rebuild and repair compressors and related equipment. Inspect equipment, checking tolerances and wear specifications.
- Look up parts and determine materials/procedures needed to rebuild or repair units and notify management. Clean and recondition parts as needed, utilizing established method and procedures.
- Display the ability to absorb a higher level of learning including VSD’s, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
- Must participate in a rotating on - call schedule and be able to work overtime on short notice
- Navigate multi-brand compressor controllers to obtain data to assist in troubleshooting air compressors
- Able to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude, read wiring diagrams, and be familiar with low voltage electricity/electronics.
- Establish demand planning on service kit for each compressor and make sure parts are available before equipment is due for service. Liaise with maintenance planners and store officer to ensure reasonable stock available all times.
- Monitor and record daily running parameters and analyse the data for performance monitoring and adjustment based on operation demands.
- Identify skill gap on team members and uplift skills and knowledge through on job practical training including circuit operators to ensure effective operation of equipment throughout the shift.
- Technical/ Vocational School, Apprenticeship training, on-the-job training (FTC, VETA, IMTT Trade Test or its Equivalent)
- Recognized Practical qualifications/ past experience on air compressors
- Hold red seal certificate with recognized Organization
- Minimum 3 years air compressor service technician role / maintenance
- 6 years of strong mechanical and electrical skills with demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of industrial equipment, including electrical, hydraulics and/or pneumatics
- High level of analytical ability is required in order to find solutions to technical problems both mechanical and electrical
- Must be proficient in problem-solving, process analysis; capacity to troubleshoot and correct problems in high-pressure situations
- Able to work independently with strong self-management and professionalism

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
North Mara Gold Mine Limited is seeking to recruit two (02) Graduate Geologist to join our team. The successful candidates for these positions will be accountable in day-to-day geological activities required to safely, effectively and to schedule – define, extract, stockpile, blend, report, reconcile gold production and to deal with the collection and interpretation of geological data that would benefit the ore definition process and lead to the identification of additional gold resources outside of reserve with zero injury within the guidelines of Company Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practice as well as other assigned tasks within the range of competencies.
Reporting to: Senior Geologist.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure and adherence to all statutory requirements and Company Safety, Health and Environmental standards and procedures
- Ensure the efficient planning and coordination of all geological activities to meet operational targets
- Supervise and be responsible for the day to day geological open pit and underground activities in and around the mining operations
- Providing geological support to the operation while assisting with effective supervision of junior staff to help maximize resource definition, geological understanding and profitable ore extraction
- Ensuring the best collection of geological data is done at high acceptable standard levels: Collar, Surveys, Lithology and Assays. Ensure data validation is done before uploading into database
- Management of drilling programmes to meet grade control, mineral resource conversion and mine planning requirements for accurate and timely ore and waste characterization
- Planning drill holes with the aid of assay data and lithological logging as interpreted from sections to identify potential areas for gold spatial distribution in relation to structures and lithological units
- Ensure the correct designing of the drilling instructions so the drill holes are drilled according to planned targets
- Ensure all Drill Cores and RC samples are logged and sampled on time to avoid backlog
- Make sure all ore mined from pit and underground goes to the right place (stockpile or plant)
- Undertake and complete both underground and open pit floor and face walls geological mapping
- Accurate digging and facing of ore and waste, to minimize dilution and ore loss (enforce correct mining practice)
- Perform entire grade control processes from data entry, interpretation, grade modelling, data transfer to survey and production recording reconciliation
- Degree in Geology.
- At least 3 months to 1 years or less practical experience in mining geology or exploration
- Strong communication, leadership, planning and organizational skills
- Strong report writing and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong understanding of the geology and structural concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Vulcan, Leapfrog, Micromine, Surpac, and other geological and mine planning software package and database.
- Have good work ethic and be goal oriented.
