SOS Children’s Villages Tanzania is a local non-government organization affiliat­ed to SOS Children’s Villages International, a worldwide child care organization that provides orphaned and destitute children with a permanent home and edu­cational opportunities. Established 60 years ago, SOS

Children’s Villages Inter­national the umbrella organization, currently has Children’s Villages and other projects in 135 countries around the world. Globally, it runs the SOS Children’s Village Programme which has two main arms, i.e. Family Based Care based at SOS Children’s Villages and Family Strengthening Programmes supporting families in local communities. SOS has been working in the United Republic of Tanzania since 1991, and implements its programs in the following locations Zanzibar, Arusha, Dar es Salaam, Mwanza and Iringa. SOS Children’s Villages Tanzania seeks to recruit suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant Positions. 

1. Job Title: Driver (2 posts) 

Duty station: SOS Children's Village Zanziba (Unguja and Pemba)
Reporting to: HR cum Admin Officer

Duties and Responsibilities: 
● Fulfills the Transport Needs for SOS Children's Villages program per specific area of the project
● Ensures the Safety of the car, staff, and their properties
● Maintains the Safety and Security of the Vehicles
● Advises the Administrators on technical issues of the cars
● Conducts trips using the shortest possible route.
● Avoids unnecessary deviations and multiple trips to minimize mileage and time wastage

Qualifications: 
● CSEE and Certificate from any recognized VETA colleges/institutions
● At least two years of working experience preferably NGOs
● Basic knowledge of Child rights and child protection
● Ability to work with minimum supervision.
● Must possess VIP driving Certificate
● Fluent in English and Swahili
2. Job title: Assistant Accountant / Data Entry Clerk (1 post)

Duty station: SOS Children's Village Zanziba
Reporting to: Senior Accountancy & Alternative Care Coordinator

The Data clerk receives reviews and enters data into the computer system or tracking database according to established procedures. He/she is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all data recorded and performs database maintenance functions.

Duties and Responsibilities
● Keeps track of received data and source documents.
● Prepares and sorts source documents, and identifies and interprets data to be entered.
● Contacts preparers of source documents to resolve questions. inconsistencies, or missing data.
● Confirms accuracy of data such as canter name/location, days, and dates.
● Compares data entered with source documents.
● Reviews and makes necessary corrections to data entered.
● Complies, sorts, and verifies the accuracy of data to be entered.
● Reviews various data collection forms and suggest improvements if needed.
● Assists in establishing and maintaining an effective and efficient record management system.
● Generates reports and responds to inquiries regarding entered data as requested.

Qualifications:
● Holder of Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Finance or statistics 
● Diploma in IT, Records Management, or related field from a recognized institution.
● Three years of experience in NGO.
● Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
● Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
● Analytical approach to work and professionalism.
● Ability to quickly understand the connections between working processes, to gain an overview of essential points, and to simplify (not to complicate) working procedures.
● Ability to work effectively in a multi-site organization with a matrix structure and a geographically-dispersed team.
3. Job title: Program Officer (1 post) 

Duty station: Sos Children's Village Zanzibar 
Reporting to: Program Coordinator  

Duties and Responsibilities: 
● Lead the implementation of the project as per the annual plan
● Facilitate and support the timely programme plans from the approved annual plans and budgets.
● Facilitate the formation and development of the Community Task Force to spearhead the programme;
● Facilitate the identification of the beneficiaries of the program
● Support communities in the assessment of root causes leading to child abandonment at family and community levels through the use of appropriate participatory tools.
● Conduct the capacity building to the beneficiaries of the program
● Facilitate families' access to essential services required to fulfill their children's developmental needs and nights such as education, nutrition, health care, and vital registration.
● Facilitate the capacity building of families as well as the community
● Facilitate the empowerment of community facilitators in Family Development Planning for their effective and efficient contribution to the strengthening of families.
● Facilitate and support the initial Community-Based Organisation capacity assessment in order to come up with the CBO Development Plan.
● Facilitate the development of the CBO's organizational management capacity. that is, the formation of properly constituted boards & committees, writing CBO constitution, legal registration of CBO, developing the CBO vision statement mission statement strategy and values.
● Support the CBO capacity building of systems in Financial and accounting policies, procurement policies and procedures, resource mobilization strategies, human resource management policies, project reporting procedures, and strategic plans
● Facilitate regular data collection through appropriate monitoring tools on programme interventions.
● Facilitate stakeholder analysis within the programme. maintaining and updating stakeholders' profiles.
● Facilitate participatory monitoring and evaluation of the programme interventions
● Keep up-to-date information regarding beneficiaries and services provided
● Conduct regular field visit to the area of the program intervention
● Prepare reports to be shared to different levels within and outside the organization  

Qualifications: 
● Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Development, Sociology: Development studies and any relevant field from recognized institutions.
● At least three years of working experience preferably with NGOY INGO In this
● Basic facilitation skills.
● Basic knowledge of Gender.
● Child rights and Advocacy.
● Ability to work with minimum supervision.
● Computer skills especially Microsoft Word, Excel & the Internet
● Good command of both oral & written English
