Summary of NECTA's History:
After
Tanzania Mainland had pulled out of the East African Examinations
Council, in 1971 and before NECTA was established by Law, in 1973, the
Curriculum and Examinations Section of the Ministry of Education was
responsible for all examinations. With the establishment of NECTA, the
Examinations became its responsibility in accordance with the law.

The
Curriculum continued to be under the Ministry of Education and the
University College, Dar es Salaam until when it was taken over by the
newly established, autonomous Institute of Curriculum Development (ICD)
in 1975, which in 1993 was renamed as the Tanzania Institute of
Education (TIE)
Between
1972 and 1976 the first staff of NECTA were recruited, among them was
Mr. P. P Gandye who was recruited in 1972 and later on in 1994 was
appointed as Executive Secretary. The other staff members continued to
be recruited and especially so when NECTA's premises moved from the
Ministry of Education Headquarters to the present premises at
Kijitonyama near Mwenge. Presently the number of NECTA's staff is more than 250.

NECTA
Certificate of Secondary Education Examination(CSEE) This is an
achievement test offered to candidates who have completed four years of
secondary education in Tanzania so as to get those who will pass their
exams to join with advanced level for two year to study form five and
six, also to get students who will be chosen to join various technical
College in Tanzania.
This CSEE Exam always conducted begin of November and date to release Form Exam Results not well specified but it will be released next year from the year Form four Students sit for Exam.

Form two Students to assess their knowledge so as to join form three
for ordinary level in Tanzania FTNA Exams are Supervised by National
Examinations Council Of Tanzania (NECTA)
Form Two (FTNA) Examination Formats
Each subject has an examination format, which describes the structure of
the examination paper, and the content in which that particular

How to check NECTA Form Two National Assessment (FTNA) 2021 online?
Now students of Tanzania can check their Form Two National Assessment (FTNA) 2021 online. Check
below step by step guide to get the NECTA FTNA Results 2020 online.
- Step 1 : visit www.necta.go.tz
- Step 2 : Click on “Results” from the Main menu.
- Step 3 : The “Results” window will show all results available.
- Step 6: Select “Exam Type” as FTNA.
- Step 5: Select your “Year” as 2020
- Step 6: Students can now check their FTNA result.
- Students can save and take print of their result for future reference.
