Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB) is the education financing board in Tanzania; also To provide loans and grants to needy and eligible Tanzanian Students for Higher and Tertiary Education and To be a reliable and sustainable revolving fund in financing eligible Tanzanian Students for Higher and Tertiary Education.

The Higher Education Student Loans Board (HESLB) has announced a list of 47,305 students who will receive first phase loans.It said it expects to spend Sh150.03 billion to provide such loans for the academic year 2020/2021.
The list was released on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 by HESLB executive director Abdul-Razaq Badru about a week before the colleges reopened.
He said out of 47,305 students, 26,964 males or 57.37 percent and 20,341 females or 42.63 percent.
Badru said funds have already been sent to various colleges and urged students to get detailed information in the accounts they used to apply for the popular SIPA loan and prepare to go to college for enrollment.

What to do if you are not located for loan..?
If you will not be succeed to get loan when names released don’t give up because there is a lot of students in Tanzania Universities study without HESLB loan. Thus have time to participate your parents and other relatives so as they can get prepared to take you University for their own cost.
But there will be HESLB appeal window for those who didn’t not allocated for loan though have all qualifications or criteria. You can take this opportunity to appeal so as you can get allocated for loan
