Chemonics International, a U.S. based international development consulting firm, is recruiting for various technical and program management positions for the anticipated USAID-funded Jifunze Uelewe activity in Tanzania. This 5 year, $39 million project  will focus on sustainably improving literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills for all pre-primary and standard 1 – 4 learners in target regions; strengthening the capacity of local and regional government to sustain improved learning outcomes; and increasing community support for safe and inclusive learning environments.

Institutional Development Director
Chemonics seeks an Institutional Development Director for the anticipated USAID Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) activity in Tanzania. The Activity’s overall objective is to expand the provision and governance of WASH services and the management of water resources through partnership with the government and private sector. The institutional development director will be responsible for technical leadership, oversight, and coordination of activities building financial and organizational capacities of government and private partners in WASH services and water resource management. Water Security & Stewardship Director
Chemonics seeks a Water Security & Stewardship Director for the anticipated USAID Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) activity in Tanzania. The Activity’s overall objective is to expand the provision and governance of WASH services and the management of water resources through partnership with the government and private sector. The Water Security & Stewardship Director will be responsible for building capacity and strengthening operational efficiency of basin water boards (BWBs) and water user associations (WUAs) to increase the active stewardship of water resources in target regions of Tanzania. Chemonics seeks a Sanitation & Hygiene Market Systems Director for the anticipated USAID Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) activity in Tanzania. The Activity’s overall objective is to expand the provision and governance of WASH services and the management of water resources through partnership with the government and private sector. The Sanitation & Hygiene Market Systems Director will be responsible for overseeing the technical implementation of market-based solutions and facilitating public-private partnerships for the quality improvement of sanitation and hygiene products and services.  MEL Specialist
Chemonics seeks a MEL Specialist for the anticipated USAID Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) activity in Tanzania.
