The Teofilo Kisanji University (TEKU) would like to recruit the following members of staff:-
POSITION:INTERNAL AUDITOR (1 POST) Duty Station: TEKU Mbeya
Reports to: The Vice Chancellor.
Education Qualifications:
He/she
must have a minimum of Advanced Diploma/Bachelor Degree in the
specialized field and registered with NBAA as Authorized/ Certified
Auditor holding a CPA (T), ACCA, ACA or ICMA
Competences:
– Strong oral communication and presentation skills in English.
– Competence in teaching at the University level.
– Demonstrated self-management.
– Ability to deliver in time.
– Professional integrity.
Duties and Responsibility
i.
Executes Audit programmes for: insurance covers and
payments, capital expenditure, investments accounts, and special grant.
ii. Carries out systems audit.
iii. Ensures that there is compliance with established policies, procedures, controls and other regulations.
iv. Detects fraud, theft and waste of any kind of assets.
v. Supervises auditing expenditure, revenue, salaries and students’ bursaries.
vi. Assists in review of measures for safeguarding assets and inventories.
vii. Reviews and appraises soundness of financial and operating controls.
viii. Advises on unit cost to minimize unnecessary expenses.
ix. Advises on the best use of University resources.
x. Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by one’s reporting officer.
Work experience:
At least three (3) years relevant working experience in a similar/related position.
POSITION: ASSISTANT SUPPLIES OFFICER (1 POST) Duty Station: TEKU Mbeya
Reports to: University Bursar
Education Qualifications:
Holder
of Advanced Diploma or University degree or Professional Level III in
Materials Management or Procurement and Logistics Management plus ICT
skills.
Other Qualifications:
i. Person of high integrity
ii. Ability to plan and organize
iii. Self motivated and ability to work efficiently and effectively even under pressure
iv. Excellent communication skills in both Kiswahili and English
v. Ability to deliver accurate and high quality output timely
Duties And Responsibilities
i. Checks transactions in stores accounting documents and registers.
ii. Receives and issues vouchers, delivery notes and invoices.
iii. Prepares purchase requisition/orders upon approval by supervisors.
iv. Assists daily supplies and stock control activities.
v. Maintains ledgers and bin cards of items in stores.
vi. Takes responsibility of physical stocks.
vii. Arranges packing and deliveries.
viii. Conducts physical checks and accounts of received goods.
ix. Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by one’s reporting officer.
POSITION: HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER II (1 POST) Duty Station: TEKU Mbeya
Reports to: DVCPFA
Education Qualifications:
Holder
of Advanced Diploma or University degree in Public
Administration/Management/Human Resource Management or any other related
field plus ICT skills.
Other Qualifications:
i. Person of high integrity
ii. Ability to plan and organize
iii. Self motivated and ability to work efficiently and effectively even under pressure
iv. Excellent communication skills in both Kiswahili and English
v. Ability to deliver accurate and high quality output timely
Duties and Responsibilities:
i.
Undertakes all general personnel duties to give the
incumbent the basic orientation within the University at the Junior
Managerial level.
ii.
Deals with general office administration with minimum
supervision in one among sections falling within manpower and
administration functions.
iii.
Deals with personnel services as may be assigned by the
respective Head of Department i.e. compilation of personal particulars
for new employees.
iv. Allocates manpower and communicates conditions of service to staff.
v. Prepares manpower planning and training programmes.
vi. Deals with pension and terminal benefit schemes.
vii. Assists in collecting, analyzing and presenting Human Resources statistics.
viii.
Assists in conducting periodic surveys to determine the
prospective Human Resources demand and supply situation with respect to
situations requiring the largest investment of time and money.
ix.
Deals with staff welfare matters such as sports and games,
canteen, burial services and any other welfare matters required for
members of staff.
x. Assists in conducting staff performance appraisal.
xi. Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by one’s reporting officer.
POSITION: IT TECHNICIANS/COMPUTER OPERATOR II (2) POSTS
Duty Station: TEKU Mbeya
Reports to: Head ICT Unit
Education Qualifications:
Holder
of Form IV/VI Certificate with Diploma in Computer Studies from a
recognised institution; OR holder of a Certificate in Computer Studies
and bias in computer operations and working experience of at least three
years in a similar position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Assists in dissemination of run jobs to students.
ii. Assists in software maintenance.
iii. Assists in running small scale customer jobs.
iv. Runs customer jobs including students’ programs.
v. Keeps computer time run log reports.
vi. Performs light maintenance of computers on daily basis.
vii. Reports on operating status, including faults and failures of the hardware systems to one are reporting officer.
viii. Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by one’s reporting officer.
POSITION: DRIVER II (2) POSTS
Duty station: TEKU Mbeya
Reports to: DAHR/HRO
Education Qualifications:
Holder
of Form IV Certificate with passes in Kiswahili and English plus a
valid Class C Driving License and working experience of at least four
years in a similar position. He/She must also possess Trade Test Grade
II in Motor Vehicle Mechanics/Driver Grade II Certificate from a
recognised Institution such as NIT or VETA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Drives University vehicles.
ii. Maintains logbooks.
iii. Ensures safe-keeping of the vehicle and its tools.
iv. Maintains disciplined behaviour, smartness and proper conduct in rendering services.
v. Maintains cleanliness of the vehicle and tools.
vi. Reports promptly any defects or problems detected in the vehicle.
vii. Performs messengerial duties such as dispatching documents/letters and collecting mail.
viii.
Checks validity of insurance, TLB, Plying fees, etc and
reports the same to the Transport Officer/Administrator for necessary
action.
ix. Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by one’s reporting officer.
POSITION: ENROLLED NURSE/MIDWIFE I (1) POST
Duty station: TEKU Mbeya
Reports to: DAHR/HRO
Education Qualifications:
Holder
of Form IV Certificate with Nurse Midwife Certificate/Public Health
Nurse Certificate and has been registered with the Nurses and Midwives
Council of Tanganyika with working experience of at least four years in a
similar position plus ICT skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Performs general nursing care of patients.
ii. Performs maternal and child care services.
iii. Administers drugs and treatment as prescribed by the Medical Officers.
iv. Provides health education on family planning, nutrition, Vaccination, sanitation and child spacing.
v. Monitors pregnancy development.
vi. Ensures cleanliness of wards.
vii. Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by one’s reporting officer.
Remuneration:
An
attractive remuneration package will be offered to the right candidates
