Talanta International is seeking to engage a dynamic and energetic
candidate to fill in the vacancy of Business Development Officer (BDO)
for managing development and delivery of its Training and Enterprise
Development Facility. The placement will be for an initial contract of
one year, starting with a probation period of three months.
The preferred candidate should demonstrate the ability to possess:
(i) At least first degree in social sciences or business ad min is ration (10%);
(ii) Experience in a Training industry, business management or working with entrepreneurs (35%);
(iii) Some knowledge of Program Management framework (10%);
(iv) Sales and networking skills with various stakeholders in private and public sectors (20%);
(v) Presentation and writing skills,
computer literate and ability to manage social media (10%);
(vi) Self-starter, committed with ability to work with minimum
supervision, honest, diligent, reliable, fast learner, passionate about
helping others realize their potential, and a team builder (10%);
(vii) Women applicants have added advantage (5%).

Job Profile:
The
project facilitator ensures that all project activities at Tarime and
Roya districts are well executed in collaboration with partners and
other stakeholders in order to achieve the U-Learn II project goal
Tasks
Mobilization and strengthening of Youths’ Groups
Conduct
career guidance and counselling for diversification to the youth groups
in allocated districts while ensuring a high participation of female.
Supporting linkages between Youths’ group and business partner / companies for learning by doing opportunities.
Coordinate participation of youth groups in training: life skills,
health and safety at work, Business Management, Financial Management and Financial Literacy, entrepreneurship and Leadership.
Formation of Community savings groups and training of youth groups financial literacy
Identifying potential financial institutions and other actors for collaboration
Create, strengthen networks with public and private development partners
Strengthen public-private partnership in allocated districts to increase project feasibility
Participate in Monitoring, Results Measurement and Evaluation
Supervise the Field Assistants and ensure proper use of project resources (including funds).
Requirements
Bachelor’s
degree in Community Development, agribusiness, and or other relevant
field, post graduate qualifications in Skills Development, Community
Facilitation and Livelihood programs.
Minimum 5 years work experience in development co-operation

Fix appointments and when necessary research for information according to the needs of the project.
Follow up on all the engagement of the program manager (agenda).
Requirements
Degree in Business management or related field with an experience in administrative duties of at least 3 years. Basic knowledge of Private Sector operations.
