GRANTS AND CONTRACTS COORDINATOR

CARE Tanzania seeks to recruit a dynamic qualified
and experienced Tanzanian for position of Grants and Contracts
Coordinator (GCC) who will oversee management of Grants and
Contracts agreements. S/he will ensure compliances with CARE Financial
policies and procedures and Donor’s regulations on grants and budgetary
requirements. Will ensure accuracy and timely submission of financial
reports and bills to donors. The position will provide adequate
management of sub grants and partners’ financial agreements. The Grants
and Contract Coordinator will actively participate to support the
country office efforts to proactively seek new funding opportunities,
working to ensure that program and finance teams are supported during
proposal development to develop accurate budgets.
The position
will timely provide periodic analytical financial reports to Budget
Holders on grants and sub grants expenditures, inform and advice the
management on the financial performance of the grants. The position has a
role to provide technical support and guidance to other CARE staff and
partners on compliance and ensure understanding and adherence of terms
and conditions of donor grants, statutory requirements and CARE
International policies including sub grants management policy and also
responsible for management of performance of staff under her/his
supervision.
The position will be based in Dar es Salaam and will report to the Director of Finance.
The
ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or
Business Management or equivalent; a full professional qualification
such as ACCA, CPA,CIMA, ICSA etc. or its equivalent with 5
years’experience in managing and Grants and Contract, of which at least 3
in an International NGO. More important-
ly, s/he should have
Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills, thorough knowledge of
financial and accounting policies and procedures, demonstrate solid
accounting systems experience and thorough understanding of financial
accounting, grants and contract management processes and experience with
Key donor’s regulations, compliances and reporting standards.

ACCOUNTS COORDINATOR
CARE Tanzania seeks to recruit a dynamic qualified and experienced Tanzanian for position of Accounts Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating recording of accounting transactions in Financial Management system – peoplesoft and ensure general ledgers, sub ledger, accounts payables, receivables accounts are accurate presenting true financial position of CARE International in Tanzania.
S/he is responsible for Treasury management including preparation of Cash forecasting, facilitating payments, deposits and also act as a link of communication with the designated banks to ensure efficiency and smooth flow of bank services.
The Accounts Coordinator have a critical role of ensuring strictly adherence and timely submission of required accounting information (returns), taxes and other statutory payments and claims in accordance with the prescribed law and regulations in Tanzania.This position will also be responsible for coordinating Internal and External audits organized for Donor fund, statutory audits or as may be required. The position will be responsible for performance management of staff under her/his supervision.
The position will be based in Dar es Salaam and will report to the Director of Finance.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration or Finance Management and a full professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICSA etc. or its equivalent as a’ MUST’ OR Master’s degree in a relevant qualification like Accounting, Finance or an MBA but with bias of Finance or accounting with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
