We Are Hiring: Head of Credit- KCB Tanzania
We are seeking for an experienced, highly motivated and talented individual to take up the position of Head of Credit, KCB Bank Tanzania, one of the international businesses of the KCB Group Limited.
Reporting to the Country Managing Director this is a key role that sits in the country leadership Team. The role will provide overall strategic leadership for the credit function for the Business. In addition, the role will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating Credit initiatives and innovative programs that will provide strategic engagement and development for the business.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Credit Policy
- Exercise delegated discretion. Evaluate and recommend or approve if within discretion limit credit applications so as to increase the lending book.
- Advise and recommend on possible solutions and way forward on Credit Risk matters as per the BOT and KCBT guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with credit policies and BOT Prudential guidelines on lending.
- Ensure an efficient turnaround time for applications is maintained.
- Track and monitor the performing and non performing Credit portfolio.
- Lead the credit and Debt recovery teams.
The successful applicant should have the following minimum qualifications and experience:
A University degree from a recognized institution.
- Professional Qualifications g. ACIB, CPA will be an added advantage
- Master s Degree in Business Administration will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 9 years’ experience in General Credit Management, 5 of which must be in management in a busy organization.
- Must have sound commercial acumen
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve both operational and strategic issues through a pragmatic and commercially sound approach
- Superior verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization.
- Demonstrated creativity and analytical ability.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with a diverse group.
